My Experience

I have a range of experience working with children of different ages, including working as a childminder with three children aged 5, 7 and 9, as well as babysitting children as young as one. My experience includes supporting daily routines, organising age-appropriate activities, encouraging independence and creating a safe, nurturing environment. I also worked as a dance teacher for children aged 2–10, where I developed my ability to engage children, encourage their confidence and creativity, and make activities fun and inclusive. Alongside my childcare experience, my healthcare background has strengthened my patience, communication skills and understanding of individual needs, safety and wellbeing.

My Qualifications

I studied for a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing at the University of Leeds from 2023 to 2026. My healthcare experience has helped me develop strong communication skills, empathy, safeguarding awareness and an understanding of the importance of maintaining safe environments and supporting individual needs. I also have practical experience in childcare and childminding, alongside several years of teaching dance to children aged 2–10. My A-levels in Psychology and Sociology have also given me an academic background relevant to understanding people and their development. Together, these experiences have helped me develop a caring, responsible and attentive approach to looking after children.
