Childminder in Bristol
My Summary
About Me
Hey, I’m Jayde! Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
I live at home with my husband, Tom, and our two-year-old Shepador, Stella, who is a much-loved part of our family.
I’ve worked in childcare since 2016, starting with a two-year apprenticeship in a nursery baby room. Since then, I’ve worked my way up to Preschool Room Leader, Nursery Deputy Manager and Baby Room Manager, gaining valuable experience supporting children of different ages and stages of development.
I’m a caring, friendly and patient person who is passionate about creating a safe, happy and welcoming home-from-home environment where little ones feel comfortable, valued and free to be themselves.
I decided to become a childminder because I wanted to provide a more personal setting where children can learn, play, explore and grow in confidence at their own pace. I love watching little ones discover new interests, reach milestones and make special memories along the way.
Through Jayde’s Little Explorers, I hope to create a place where children feel excited to come each day and parents feel happy and reassured knowing their little ones are well cared for.
I look forward to getting to know your family and being part of your little one’s journey!
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since 2016, when I began my career by completing a two-year apprenticeship in a nursery, working in the baby room. Since then, I have gained a wide range of experience working with children across different age groups and stages of development.
Throughout my career, I have progressed into several roles, including Preschool Room Leader, Nursery Deputy Manager and Baby Room Manager. These roles have given me valuable experience in supporting children’s learning and development, planning engaging activities, supporting children’s individual needs and helping to create safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Working with babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children has helped me understand how important the early years are in building confidence, independence and a love of learning. I believe every child is unique, and I enjoy supporting them to reach their milestones at their own pace.
My experience has helped shape the kind of childminder I want to be: someone who provides a caring, stimulating and supportive environment where children feel secure, develop new skills and have fun every day.
My Qualifications
I hold a level 3 qualification in childcare alongside training in Food Hygiene and Designated safeguarding lead. I'm also passionate about continuing my professional development and regularly undertake further training to build on my knowledge, develop my skills and keep up to date with best practices in early years childcare.
