About Me
Hi, I’m Emma, an Ofsted-registered childminder providing a warm, safe and welcoming home-from-home environment for children to learn, play and grow.
I work from my family home alongside my four-year-old daughter, with my 13-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter occasionally at home too. My eldest daughter is DBS checked.
I believe children learn best through play, exploration and new experiences, so I enjoy getting out and about with the children to local toddler groups, farms, soft play centres and other places in our community. I love providing opportunities for children to develop their confidence, independence, social skills and curiosity while having lots of fun.
With 15 years of childcare experience, I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their little ones are happy, safe and well cared for. I aim to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to develop at their own pace, following their individual interests and needs.
My goal is to make every child feel at home, build lovely relationships with families and give children plenty of opportunities to make memories, explore and learn through everyday adventures.
My Experience
I have over 15 years of childcare experience, working in a variety of settings, including preschools, nurseries and as a nanny. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of children’s individual needs, development and learning at different stages of their early years. I have developed a passion for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure and supported to learn, grow and reach their full potential.
My Qualifications
Education & Training
• 4 GCSE's English, Maths, Science, Geography.
• 2004 – 2006 Weston collage National diploma in equine management.
• NVQ level 3 in Childcare, Early Years Educator – July 2017
• First Aid Trained - March 2025.
• Food Allergy and Intolerance Training – December 2025
• Safeguarding training completed - December 2025
• Oral Health Promotion with under 5 – November 2025
• Ofsted Registered Childminder – April 2026
• Prevent awareness refresher course – October 2025
My Availability
I am available week days Monday - Thursday 8-5:30
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
The fee for consumables per a funded session is:
9 months - 2 years - £5
After their 2nd birthday - £10
