My Summary
About Me
I am incredibly passionate about supporting children, young people and families who may be facing challenges or struggling in their everyday lives. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, understood and given the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances. I want to make a genuine difference by offering patience, compassion, encouragement and support to those who need it most. I understand that sometimes having someone who listens without judgement and takes the time to understand can make a huge difference. My experience supporting children with additional needs, working in residential childcare and supporting my neurodivergent siblings has strengthened my passion for helping others. I want to be someone children and families can feel comfortable with, trust and rely on, helping them build confidence, overcome barriers and recognise their own strengths. For me, it is about more than just providing care; it is about making a positive, lasting difference in people’s lives.
My Experience
I have experience working as a Personal Assistant supporting a 7-year-old child with additional needs, providing individualised care and support tailored to their needs. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, communication and creating a safe, positive environment where children feel comfortable and supported.
I also have experience working as a Residential Support Worker, supporting children with their emotional wellbeing, development and daily needs. This included building positive relationships, encouraging independence and using positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques when needed.
Alongside my professional experience, I have experience supporting my neurodivergent siblings, which has helped me develop an understanding, caring and patient approach. I am First Aid certified and committed to ensuring children feel safe, valued and encouraged to be themselves. I understand that every child is different, and I aim to provide reliable, compassionate support that meets each child’s individual needs.
