Sacha
Babysitter in Reading
My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m a caring, friendly and responsible babysitter who genuinely loves spending time with children and helping them learn, grow and feel happy and safe. I have been babysitting from a young age, helping family friends and looking after children within my own family. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable experience caring for children of different ages and understanding their individual needs.
I enjoy creating a fun, positive and safe environment where children feel comfortable and cared for. I am happy to help with activities such as drawing, colouring, reading stories, playing games, doing crafts and keeping children entertained. I understand the importance of patience, kindness and making sure every child feels listened to and included.
I have experience helping care for toddlers aged 2 and 3, as well as older children aged 8–12. I understand that younger children need extra attention, supervision and support with their daily routines, while older children may enjoy more independent activities and games.
I studied Childcare at school and Health and Social Care at college, which helped me develop my understanding of children’s needs, wellbeing and the importance of providing appropriate care. I am enthusiastic about gaining more experience and building trusting relationships with both children and their families.
I am happy to help families who need an extra pair of hands, whether that is during the day, in the evenings or at weekends. I aim to be reliable, approachable and flexible, and I would always do my best to make sure parents feel reassured that their children are being cared for with kindness and attention.
My Experience
I have gained babysitting experience over several years by helping family friends and looking after children within my own family. I have experience with toddlers aged 2 and 3, as well as children aged 8–12, which has helped me understand how care and activities need to be adapted to different ages and personalities.
Through looking after younger children, I have gained experience keeping them entertained, playing with them, supporting their routines and making sure they are safe and supervised. With older children, I enjoy engaging them in games, creative activities and other age-appropriate things they enjoy.
At school, I studied Childcare, and at college I studied Health and Social Care. These subjects helped me develop my knowledge of children’s development, personal care, wellbeing, communication and the importance of treating every child with patience, kindness and respect.
I understand that every family has its own routines and expectations, and I would always listen carefully to parents’ instructions and follow their preferences. I know how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident when leaving their children with someone, and I would take that responsibility seriously.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and also studied Childcare at school. Through my studies, I developed an understanding of children’s wellbeing, care needs and the importance of providing a safe, supportive and positive environment. I have also gained practical experience looking after children within my family and helping family friends, including toddlers aged 2 and 3 and older children aged 8–12.
My Availability
I am looking for regular, full-time childcare work, ideally around five days a week. I am happy to discuss a consistent weekly schedule with a family and can be flexible with start and finish times where possible. I am interested in daytime childcare, morning and afternoon care, and after-school care. I can also discuss evening, weekend and overnight babysitting depending on the hours and family’s needs. I would love to build a long-term relationship with a family and provide reliable, caring support with their children’s daily routines.
