About Me
We are a warm, welcoming and nurturing home-from-home childminding setting in the Ashby area of Scunthorpe. We are passionate about helping little ones grow, learn and flourish in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.
At Cosy Acorns, we believe every child is unique and deserves to feel loved, valued and supported. We provide opportunities for children to explore the world around them, develop their independence, build friendships and learn through play, all at their own pace. ?
From messy play and creative activities to outdoor adventures, sensory experiences and everyday discoveries, we make learning fun while supporting each child’s individual development.
As Ofsted-registered childminders, we are committed to providing high-quality childcare where children feel secure, confident and excited to learn. We understand how important it is to find the right childcare for your family, and we aim to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
We also offer breakfast and after-school care, providing a caring and reliable extension to their school day.
My Experience
With a strong background in early years education and childcare, we have the knowledge, skills and passion to provide children with the best possible start in life.
Our experience includes working within nursery settings, supporting children’s learning and development, planning engaging activities, observing progress and creating safe, nurturing environments where every child can thrive.
We have experience in senior early years roles, including Deputy Manager, Senior Early Years Educator and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). These roles have given us valuable experience in safeguarding, child development, supporting individual needs, working in partnership with parents and maintaining high standards of care.
We understand the importance of providing children with opportunities to learn through play, develop independence, build confidence and explore the world around them. We are passionate about creating meaningful experiences that support every child’s individual interests, abilities and developmental stage.
At Cosy Acorns, we bring this experience together with a personal, home-from-home approach to childcare. We are committed to building positive relationships with families and ensuring every child feels safe, happy, included and valued.
My Qualifications
We have level 3 qualifications in early childcare studies; paediatric first aid trained along with food hygiene and other certificates that can be seen upon request.
My Availability
Monday - Friday, 7:30-5:30
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
We accept funding for all ages, as well as tax free childcare.
