About Me
Hi! I’m Holly and I live in Great Dunmow. I’m a friendly, caring and approachable person who genuinely loves working with children. I spent twelve and a half years working as a primary school teacher in both reception and KS1 and I now work for the council supporting SEND. I’m looking to offer babysitting services to local families and would love to support parents who need an extra pair of hands, whether that’s for an occasional evening, weekend or regular arrangement.
I’m creative, patient and organised, and enjoy helping children learn, play and explore. I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their children in someone else’s care, and would always aim to create a safe, happy and nurturing environment.
My Experience
I have 12 and a half years of experience working as a primary school teacher, specialising in Reception and Key Stage 1. During this time, I’ve gained extensive experience supporting and caring for children aged 4–7, developing a strong understanding of early childhood development and children’s individual needs.
My experience includes supporting children’s learning and development, planning creative activities, managing routines and helping children feel safe, settled and confident. I’ve also worked closely with families and have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs.
I’m confident engaging children through play, reading, crafts and other fun activities, as well as supporting everyday routines and bedtimes.
My Qualifications
* BA Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), University of Reading.
* Active Enhanced DBS.
* 12 and a half years of professional teaching experience.
* Extensive safeguarding and child protection experience.
* Training in Trauma Perceptive Practice.
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs and additional needs.
My Availability
I’m available for babysitting on weekday evenings and throughout the weekends. I’m happy to be flexible where possible and can offer both occasional babysitting and regular arrangements to suit your family’s needs.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
