About Me
We’re a friendly family in Stoneleigh with two daughters and a dog. Both parents work and we’re looking for someone kind and reliable to help with family life, meals and keeping the home organised.
My Requirements
Part-time family helper / housekeeper
Stoneleigh, Epsom
Term time only | £18–£23 per hour, self-employed
We’re a family looking for a kind, dependable and practical person to help keep our home running smoothly and provide a calm, supportive presence for our daughter, who will be attending online school.
This could suit someone looking for regular part-time work around other commitments. We’d love to find someone who enjoys cooking, is confident with housekeeping and can use their initiative.
What we’d like help with:
• Preparing lunches and simple, nutritious family evening meals.
• Involving our daughter in cooking where possible, helping her build confidence and practical skills.
• Meal planning, shopping lists and occasional batch cooking.
• General household cleaning, changing bed linen, laundry and tidying.
• Putting grocery deliveries away and keeping household supplies organised.
• Being available during lesson breaks and afterwards, offering gentle encouragement with her routine.
• Enjoying creative activities, practical projects or some fresh air together.
• Occasional errands or accompanying her to an activity, by agreement.
Her teachers will deliver her lessons, so tutoring isn’t required. We’ll agree realistic priorities for each visit, with our daughter’s needs and meal preparation coming first.
Hours:
Approximately 11½ hours per week during term time, with some additional hours by agreement.
Monday: 12.30–3.30pm
Wednesday: 12.30–3.30pm
Thursday: 8.30am–2pm, occasionally extending to 3.30pm with advance notice and by agreement.
Please let us know what hours you could reliably offer. We’re happy to discuss arrangements that work for both sides.
About you:
You’ll be warm, patient, organised and reliable, with relevant household or family-support experience. Confidence preparing family meals and working independently is important.
We have a dog who can be wary of unfamiliar people, so you’ll need to be comfortable around dogs. We have a separate dog walker.
References and an appropriate DBS check will be required. A driving licence would be useful but isn’t essential.
Please message with a little about your experience, availability, rate and how you provide your service. Personal recommendations are very welcome.
