My Requirements

We would like help with 2 days a week until May (we have managed to secure a place at nursery in May 2027). I work 2 days a week on Mondays and Tuesdays, my shifts vary but they’re usually either 7am-4.30pm or 10am-7pm, (the occasional weekend day but it is on a 1 in 8 rotation and unless my husband is away, he would be home to look after our child) but I would also like some ad-hoc childcare in order to help lighten the load for me occasionally when I’m solo parenting or even if I have an appointment to attend to or need to pop out for a bit without my toddler, it would be nice to have someone I can trust to look after my little boy for me.
A little bit about my parenting/education style: I like to incorporate a little bit of both Montessori & Waldorf principles into my son’s daily life and prioritise a gentle (but not permissive) approach to discipline. I prefer to try and be intentional and responsive to my child’s needs and development, whilst holding boundaries and following through with appropriate consequences if necessary. We don’t allow our child to have Screen-time, instead choosing to engage in reading, outdoor activities, getting involved in household tasks in an age appropriate way and encourage plenty of movement and music time. We love to teach our son languages and focus on Italian, mandarin and sign language. Overall, we just aim to create a deeply loving and caring home.
