My Requirements

Looking for a regular, flexible babysitter / family helper

We are a friendly family with two children – a daughter aged 11 who has recently started high school and a son aged 9 who is at primary school.

We are hoping to find someone kind, reliable and experienced who can build a lovely, long-term relationship with our children and become a familiar and trusted person in their lives.

Our son has combined-type ADHD and takes medication. We would ideally like someone who has some understanding of ADHD, or is open to learning more about it, and is patient, understanding and confident in supporting him.

We both work from home, so we're fairly flexible with arrangements, although we're hoping to establish some sort of regular pattern.

Initially, the help we're looking for would include:

Every other Saturday morning, looking after our son for a couple of hours.

Occasional babysitting.

Some weekend and overnight childcare when we are away.

Ideally, we'd love to build up to having someone we trust who could look after both children for one or two nights a month, allowing us to travel occasionally for work or have some time away.

We do have grandparents who help where they can, but we'd really value having someone reliable who could become part of our wider support network.

We appreciate this is a slightly different arrangement to traditional childcare, so we're very open to discussing what might work for the right person.

We would love to hear from someone who is warm, responsible, flexible and genuinely enjoys spending time with school-aged children.
