Registered Childminder Job in Newport
About Me
We are a friendly, loving family of four living in Newport, South Wales. My husband and I are both teachers, and we have a teenage daughter and our little boy, Alfie, who was born in April 2026.
We are looking for a kind, caring and trustworthy person who will become a familiar and reassuring presence in Alfie’s life. As parents, we really value a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment where he can feel happy, secure and supported as he grows.
My Requirements
We are looking for a reliable, experienced and nurturing childcare provider to care for our little boy, Alfie, from January 2027, when I return to work.
Alfie will be around 9 months old when the position begins. We ideally need childcare on Wednesdays and Thursdays during school term time, although we would be happy to discuss arrangements.
Our preference is for childcare to take place in our family home, where Alfie has his familiar surroundings, toys and cot, helping him maintain a consistent routine.
We would love someone who has experience caring for babies and young children, understands their developmental needs and enjoys engaging them in age-appropriate play, reading, sensory activities and outdoor walks.
Alfie is a happy, curious little boy, and we are keen to find someone who will build a lovely bond with him while supporting his feeding, naps and daily routines.
We are looking for someone who is patient, affectionate, dependable and ideally has relevant childcare experience, references and an up-to-date paediatric first aid qualification.
We would love to hear from anyone who feels they could be a good fit for our family!
