About Me
Hi! I’m Imane, I’m 20 years old and from Brighton. I’m currently studying International Relations with a language at the University of Sussex. I’m a really caring, patient and responsible person who genuinely loves spending time with children.
I practically helped raise my younger sister, who is now 5, from when she was a newborn. After my mum experienced complications following childbirth and was unable to walk properly, I stepped in to help with bathing, feeding, changing nappies and caring for my sister until my mum was well enough. I’ve also looked after my younger cousins, who are under the age of 3, so I’m very comfortable caring for babies and toddlers.
Outside of studying, I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with my family. I love getting creative in the kitchen and would happily prepare meals or snacks for children. I’m also someone who enjoys keeping children entertained, whether that’s through games, activities, reading or simply spending quality time with them.
I’d describe myself as reliable, loving, attentive and someone who genuinely enjoys caring for little ones.
My Experience
I have professional experience working as nursery bank staff, where I supported children with their daily routines, helped organise activities, encouraged play and learning, and made sure children were safe and well cared for. I also have experience working at The Entertainer, where I developed my communication, teamwork and customer service skills. Both roles have helped me become more responsible, patient and confident when working with others.
My Qualifications
- Access to Higher Education Diploma in Psychology (Level 3) – completed.
- GCSEs, including English Language, Mathematics and Arabic.
- Currently studying International Relations with a Language at the University of Sussex.
- DBS checked.
- Professional experience working in a nursery, supporting children's learning, development and daily routines.
My Psychology studies have also helped me develop an understanding of children's behaviour, development and emotional needs.
