My Experience

I have over 14 years of experience working in childcare, including 12 years working within a private nursery before becoming a registered childminder in September 2024. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience caring for children of different ages and developmental stages, from babies through to school aged children. I have a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, health and wellbeing, and the importance of learning through play. I am registered and inspected by the Care Inspectorate Scotland and insured through the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA). My years of experience have allowed me to develop a caring, patient and nurturing approach, supporting each child’s individual needs, interests and milestones while encouraging their confidence, independence and social skills.

My Qualifications

I began my childcare career in 2010, completing my SVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications through work based training, combining hands on nursery experience with written assessments and observations.

I later progressed to achieve my Social Services (Children & Young People) qualification at SCQF Level 9 through Tigers Training, further developing my knowledge of child development, safeguarding, leadership and professional childcare practice.

Alongside my qualifications, I have over 14 years of practical childcare experience, including 12 years working within a private nursery before becoming a registered childminder in 2024.

I am registered with the Care Inspectorate Scotland and insured through the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA). I am passionate about providing high quality childcare and continuously developing my knowledge and skills to ensure every child receives the best possible care.

My Availability

I work Monday-Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm. I will tick below what I am able to provide but could possibly be full. Please get in touch to find out or if you want to be added to the waiting list. Thanks

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
• Childminding from £6.50 per hour

My childcare fees are £48 for a full day (7:30am–5:30pm) and £33 for a half day (up to 5 hours). Before and after school care is also available, with fees depending on the hours required.

All meals, healthy snacks, drinks and daily activities are included in my childcare fees. We enjoy regular outings to parks, libraries, toddler groups, soft play and other local attractions. Any outings that involve an admission fee, such as soft play or paid attractions, are paid for by parents.

Half price fees apply to agreed holidays in line with my childminding contract, and a four week deposit is required to secure a childcare space.
