About Me
Hello Parents,
My name is Alpa Patel and I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2003. With over 20 years of experience, I provide a warm, safe and nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel happy, confident and valued. As a mother of two, I understand how important it is for parents to find childcare that is reliable, flexible and trustworthy.
I am dedicated to delivering high-quality childcare that supports every child’s individual learning and development. All activities and daily routines are carefully planned in line with the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, helping children learn through play while building confidence, independence and strong social skills.
I provide a wide range of fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities including creative play, messy play, role play, mark making, books, board games and outdoor activities. I also enjoy taking children on outings to local parks, toddler groups and libraries to encourage social interaction, communication and exploration.
I believe strong partnerships with parents are essential, as parents know their child best. By working closely together and maintaining open communication, I am able to provide personalised care that supports each child’s individual needs, routines and development. I provide care in a welcoming non-smoking family environment where all children are treated with kindness, respect and equal opportunities regardless of background or religion.

My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience as a registered childminder, alongside previous experience working within nursery and school settings. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong understanding of children’s learning, behaviour and developmental needs across different age groups.
I work in partnership with local childminding networks and other childcare settings, which allows me to share best practices, continue developing my knowledge and provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children.
Over the years, I have created a balanced daily routine that combines fun, learning and structure in a way that helps children feel secure, engaged and motivated to learn. I have experience supporting children with different learning styles and needs, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 SEND training and regularly update my knowledge through local council guidance and ongoing professional development.
I also hold qualifications in safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, health and safety, child development and nutrition. I understand the importance of providing healthy meals and catering for children’s individual dietary requirements and allergies to support a healthy lifestyle from an early age.

My Availability
I am available from 7:00am to 7.00 pm. However, I work flexibly in accordance with the parents needs. I can work early starts, late evenings and also on the weekends and holidays if needed. I am registered for night care if it is needed too.
I am also available for school picking up and dropping up children from my local schools.

Are you looking for a reliable and trustworthy childminder? If so look no further. Alpa is the true professional, kind, caring and fun with a lovely personality. Both my children love going to Alpas for after school club and they get ro participate in lots of fun activities. They always come away with something they have made or a story about where they have been, such as the local park or doing water play. They children even ask to go to Alpa’s on weekends and they love her snack times. I have moved to a different area which means different schools. What will I miss? Alpas childcare and the safe, secure feeling I always felt when my children are in her care. If you are lucky enough to find a vacancy with Alpa do not hesitate in securing your child's place. She is the best.

I met Alpa 4 years ago when my daughter started nursery. Alpa used to pick my daughter from nursery and stayed with her until My husband and I went to pick her up.
She is such a great personality with children. She engaged my daughter in various activities, took her to the library and they visited different parks around the area.
My daughter loves her so much and never stops asking about her. She insists that Alpa should pick her up from school and misses her. She still remembers all the activities they did together despite being only 3 years old at the time.
Alpa is very good with children's early emotional and physical development. My daughter always used tears as a way of expressing herself but with Alpa she learnt to use words instead of tears.
My son will be starting nursery this year, and I will be using Alpa's services because I trust her with the safe care of my children.
She goes above and beyond, she attended some of my daughter's school shows when we were at work. This made my daughter absolutely love her.
She is such a wonderful superwoman.

I take this opportunity to say thanks to Alpa Patel who is an exceptionally committed childminder and who has provided childcare for my three boys and has supported their wellbeing in personal social and emotional development. I built a good relationship with Alpa and trusted her with my children. Alpa went out of her by attending school assemblies and school performances even though she didn't have to. She has always been very supportive for that reason she is second to none. Outstanding she is and I am truly grateful for her services rendered to my family.

My daughter was with Alpa since she was one and a half year old. She was her first childminder but bonded with Alpa instantly and was with her for a year. Had moved from the area if not my daughter would be still with her. She missus Alpa and her setting still. I could leave my daughter without any worry with her. Even my daughter's new nursery was very impressed with her manners. All credit goes to Alpa. Thank you so very much Alpa for your love and care you had shown towards my daughter. For my daughter not a day goes by without talking about Alpa.

My extremely energetic son has been with Alpa for over 6 months and has been having a brilliant time. Alpa takes him on regular outings to the children's centre, park or town centre. Alpa always provides fruit and healthy food and sometimes takes my son for picnics or to Mc Donalds for a treat. Alpa bought a musical keyboard for my son for his first birthday, which is now his favourite toy. Alpa really makes the effort to understand my son's likes and dislikes and is always caring and attentive. My son doesn't like to nap during the day but Alpa helped him to sleep by rocking him. She is always talking to my son, which has developed his language skills. Alpa is constantly pushing my son's development and providing him with educational toys. Alpa is also very flexible and very understanding as my husband and I have very demanding jobs and sometimes have to work late. I am very luck to have found Alpa.

Alpa is such an extra ordinary person, who is selfless and takes pride in offering a service to mum's and dad's, which is beyond any financial remuneration. Childcare for working parent is quite stressful as politics and the economics of our morden society dictates, but parents like us are really greatful to have Alpa relieving that stress by offering a service second to none. It's i rare occurances were a childminder bonds extremly well with parents to a level of friendship; A true testimony of a caring person.
Alpa is in more ways than one truely better than the the best in her field of expertise.

My daughter has been under Alpa's care since last year and she has been great! My daughter loves it with Alpa as she is understanding and has plenty of experience she knows exactly how to deal with my daughters moods. She teaches her lads of things and gets them active by taking her to parks and clubs.
She is extremely cautious and has a lot of methods put in place for health and safety which as a mother made me feel secure and comfortable enough to not worry when I left my daughter with her.
Alpa is very passionate about her role as a childminder and goes beyond the call of duty for the children in her care. Her house is welcoming and so is she. I would recommend her to any parent who is looking for a trusted childminder. After a few unprofessional childminders... I have the perfect one! Alpa really is a Superwoman!

I have been using Alpa for about a year for my now 4 yr old daughter.. Alpa is reliable and helpful to working parents. As an single parent childcare and timings may sometimes be tricky but Alpa has helped with that. My daughter looks forward to going to Alpa's very much and enjoys playing with the other children and joining in activites Alpa has arranged for them. Alpa is very trust worthy and extremely friendly and easy to get on with I would Recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.

My two chiildren were looked after by Alpa since they were toddlers, Alpa is very attentive, caring and creative. My two children settled in very quickly and even urged me to drop them at weekends too, She has range of activities which stimulate the children mentally and physically. She is very flexible and was available at short notice.As a nurse my hours were very irregular but Alpa was available according to my shifts. The children loved the variety of food that was available,it was nutritious and filling. My children are a lot older now and we still visit Alpa.
