About Me
Hi, I'm Nicola or Nicnic as my nieces and nephew like to call me, I have a daughter who was born in December 2014 and 3 lovely nieces and 1 fab nephew who I love spending time with. I enjoy reading (when I get time!) swimming and walking around the countryside with my little girl.
I enjoy the outdoors wether that be going on walks or simply just to the park or even buliding snowmen when the weather permits it, I like to make the time as fun as possilbe for the children in my care, I like picnics even if it ends up being on a rug in the front room due to bad weather, I like to do lot's of creative activites with the children, I like to bake with the children and even get them to help with meals if they are able and its appropriate.
My Experience
I have experience with children aged 3mths + (that are not my own or relations)
I have over 20 year’s experince in childcare 3yrs of which were as a nanny, 3yrs working abroad for a holiday company in a creche, in nurseries, in a sure start children's centre, as a childminder as a teaching assistant in a primary school and in a preschool.
I can drive and have an estste car with ISO fix, I also have a clean driving licence.
My Qualifications
I have NVQ level 2 & 3 in early years care and education.
I also did a 1yr course in college in early years care and health care.
I am a qualified baby massage instructor and Massage in schools instructor.
I have been OFSTED registered as a nanny before but this has now expired.
I have been registered as a childminder with OFSTED.
I have been nick named 'Mary Poppins' by a previous family.
