I am a single Mum, working full time in London, we live in Colchester, Essex. My son is 9 and is in Year 5. He is in a Specialist SEMH Primary Provision, with an EHCP in place. He is diagnosed with ADHD and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and on thr pathway for an Autism diagnosis. Experience of working with SEN children is essential.
My son has just started in full time alternative provision following a six months since January where he has been out of school and only in part time/temporary alternative provision. Initially he is on a part time timetable and am hoping by October half term he will be up to full time hours at school.
I need Before & After school and potentially respite childcare for him, to give him a good routine and the 121 care he needs whilst I have to work full time. I am looking for a Nanny or Carer with a good understanding of SEN needs.
The routine would be as follows:
Term Time:
Monday & Wednesday
2.30pm-7.15pm (Pick up from school in Turner Rd, take home and do after school activities, snack, homework potentially, dinner then I will be home by 7.15pm to take over)
Potential:
Friday
12.30pm-7.15pm (Pick up from school in Turner Rd, take home and do after school activities, maybe take out (we have a zoo pass) snack, homework potentially, dinner then I will be home by 7.15pm to take over)
Friday could be negotiated, as I might drop my hours to cover this myself or WFH and he could be home by 5pm.
I'm hoping with the right person, I could have some time to have some respite care to allow me to recharge, as I am the full time resident parent too.
I'm hoping to find someone who can look after him in our home, take him for trips out, do crafts, fun activities at home and provide food and care for him.
He loves interacting with other children, being outdoors, riding his bike and scooter.
My son is a lively little boy, who loves Lego, construction toys, trains, cars, football, dinosaurs - all the usual boy things!
