About Me

We are a friendly and caring family of 4. My husband and I both work in the NHS. Our son (15 yr) has autism/learning difficulties.

My Requirements

Live Out Nanny
After School Nanny
Part Time Nanny
Special Needs Experience

We are looking for a personal assistant/carer to help our son (15 yr teenager) to build independence and to help him access activities. He has non-verbal autism. He communicates using Makaton signs and picture cards and is able to make himself understood with gestures as well. He attends school from 9 am to 3 pm.

We are looking for a patient, enthusiastic and motivated live-out/live-in carer/personal assistant. Hours: 35 per week (term time: 0700-1000, 1000-1500 unpaid break, 1500-1900; school holidays: timings can be flexible across 3-4 days, to make up the 35 hours).

We need someone with experience in looking after children with special needs who can start from 1 September 2026.

We have always maintained great relationships with our previous nannies (3 nannies in the last 12 years) who remain in contact with our family and visit us regularly to see how well our son is developing.

Our requirements are:
driver with clean driving license, CRB check, First Aid course, OFSTED registered, and previous childcare experience (SEND).

We prefer to discuss pay (£16-20/hr gross for live out carer) based on experience - if you are interested please send a message via childcare.co.uk.
