Looking for nanny (after school and school holidays) for our 12 yr old son with special needs
My Requirements
We are a caring and considerate family. Our son is 15 yrs old with non-verbal autism who attends school 5 days a week from 9 am to 3.15 pm. We are looking for a patient, enthusiastic and motivated live-out/live-in nanny to look after our son after school during term time (3-7 pm) and for school holidays (hours flexible). He communicates using Makaton signs and picture cards and is able to make himself understood with gestures as well. We need someone with experience in looking after children with special needs who can start in September 2026 (although an earlier start asap would work for Thursday and Friday afternoons 3-7 pm).
We have always maintained great relationships with our previous nannies ( 3 nannies in the last 12 years) who remain in contact with our family and visit us regularly to see how well our son is developing.
Our requirements are:
driver with clean driving license, car will be provided by us for work, CRB check, First Aid course, OFSTED registered, and previous childcare experience (special needs).
We prefer to discuss pay (£16-18/ hr gross for live out nanny ) based on experience - if you are interested please send a message via childcare.co.uk.
