About Me
Hello my name is Lorraine i have been an ofsted registered childminder for 21 years, a nanny for 13 years and have got two grown up children of my own. I have always loved working with children due to coming from a large family. I am a pet and smoke free home. Please feel free to ask any questions. I live on Southend lane SE6 3AA not far from Beckenham Hill station. I do school picks from St. John Baptism school and St Augustines only. I go out with the children to playgroups, parks and day trips. I love my job and try to make the children and parents feel apart of our family. I teach the children through play and stick to the EYFS learning tracker. I am a registered Ofsted childminder. Fully trained in first aid,child protection, EYFS training and many other certificates for courses I have done.
My Availability
I have a space for a baby from 8am to 6pm Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday starting from September 2025.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£7.00 an hour per child when all day.
£8 an hour if school pick ups only.
If term time contract only then it will be £10 per day the child is not with me to hold the place open.
My Local Schools
- I provide pick ups at St Augustine's Catholic Primary School and Nursery
- I provide pick ups at St John's Church of England Primary School

We were so lucky to find Lorraine and as soon as we met her we knew she was the right person and the perfect setting for our son.
She has looked after him from my return to maternity leave in 2017 and also my daughter from 2021. We have sadly moved away recently and miss her dearly!
She really knows how to read a child, understand their needs and create a connection. I can't put a value on going to work and never having to worry or have concerns about the kids - just priceless. Lorraine's setting is truly a home away from home and like extended family. She knew how to bond with my super clingy daughter born during Covid times and both children still talk fondly about Lorraine and their friends there. They eat delicious healthy meals, loved playing in her garden and trips to the park, playgroup visits and drawing and learning. She taught them good manners, was instrumental starting potty training for my son and was a complete support while my husband and I juggled our busy jobs and hectic life.
She sent us lots of pictures, provided updates and has been so caring. I can't recommend her enough. She is brilliant!

My daughter started at Lorraine’s when she was 11 months old and she is nearly 3. We are only leaving now as we are moving away. Lorraine is a fantastic childminder (and person!) and she has been absolutely amazing with our daughter.
Lorraine is loving and child-centred and put me at ease as soon as I met her and saw her with the children she cared for.
I was so nervous to start back at work but knowing my daughter was with Lorraine was a huge relief. Lorraine sent me pictures and updates regularly and is really good at communicating with the parents of the children she cares for.
She was also very supportive and helped my daughter adjust when I had my second child, and she was very understanding and lovely when we went through potty training!
My daughter loves going to Lorraine’s and we are so sad to be leaving her. I honestly cannot recommend Lorraine enough. We love you and will miss you Lorraine.xx

Lorraine looked after both my children in holidays and the youngest the rest of the time . She would always take them to lots of fun activities and they really bonded with her. My youngest didn’t even say good bye at the door anymore just ran inside . I wish we could have stayed if my job didn’t changed Sophia misses you lots !!
