About Me
Welcome to Rocking Horse Childminding, We are Lynda & Paul a Husband and Wife team and we are both Ofsted Reg Child Minders, offering home from home care for your little ones.
We have received a rating of "GOOD" from OFSTED at our last inspection (September 2022) both of us being graded Good in all areas.
We live in Ingleby Barwick, we are with in walking distance of local schools and amenities.
We have a Border Collie who well behaved and child friendly.
We have an allotment where we will help the children grow fruit and veg and learn where food comes from as well as getting lots of fresh air.
We have a play room, out door play with play house/cafe/shop and other outdoor resources.
We grow many different vegetables and have fruit trees which the children help water, pick and of course eat (the best bit), we bake, and do arts and crafts, go on visits to the park, museums, play groups and local attractions,
We are members of the Thornaby and Ingleby Child Minding network, and the Local Authority Approved network.
Our hours are Mon-Thursday 7:30 am -5:30pm.
Please note our fees are charged at full day & half day rates not hourly.
We are pleased to add that we offer 15hrs & 30hrs funded child care for 2 and 3 /4year old's. (Space is limited).

My Experience
I have been child minding now for over 15 years, and I love my job.
My husband is also an OFSTED registered Child Minder with 11 years experience, we work together to offer home from home care for your little one's.,
It is not our intention to be full to capacity, but prefer to work within the figures to ensure your child gets the time and attention needed to thrive and grow.
We feel privileged to be entrusted with the care of your little ones and strive to do our very best, provide a warm loving stable home away from home, where both children and their parents feel welcome and comfortable.
We both undertake regular additional training to ensure continual professional development and to ensure we are update on all current practices within the child care industry
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce
OCN Level 3 in Child Care
First Aid Certificate
Food Hygiene Certificate
OFSTED Registred
Full (clean) Driving Licence
Public Liability Insurace.
Plus lots of CPD

Rocking horse is an amazing nursery and Lynda and Paul are wonderful. my son was a preemie and still very small when I went back to work full time and I was worried about him going to a nursery, then I found Lynda and Paul and my son has been absolutely thriving since he started almost a year ago. They really do provide a home from home setting but with lots of days out and adventures for the children. I cannot recommend them enough!!
Overall
Rocking Horse are a fantastic childminding team, both of my girls love going there, they offer a wide range of games and toys and have helped my youngest learn so much ready for starting nursery. All meals are homemade and fresh. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for childcare in the area.
