About Me
I was born in Bracknell, Berkshire; studied French and Music at Westminster College, Oxford and later qualified as a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music. I then took up a post in Vierzon Choir and Music School, touring France accompanying and performing. Returning to Berkshire while continuing to teach, I furthered my experience on the concert platform and as a piano recitalist.
I have been settled in the Wisbech area for some years, predominately as a piano / theory teacher.
My Experience
I teach piano and theory enthusiastically to a high standard, tailoring my teaching according to the needs of my students, enjoyment being to the fore, regardless of the level or age of my student. Likewise, I take much pride when guiding those pupils who choose to pursue their aptitude to university or Music College.
I enjoy teaching adults as well as younger students, and in addition to individual tuition, successfully run introductory/taster 6-week courses for beginners at the local Octavia Hill Birthplace House in Wisbech.
For all students I organise informal concerts and tea parties on a regular basis for them to share their talents and interact with each other. As well as a wealth of teaching, I also enjoy accompanying and performing.
With over 25 year’s experience in teaching to all ages and levels, I currently have vacancies at all levels, and is willing to teach pupils in their own homes.
