About Me
I am a Ofsted registered childminder and i have been for almost 26 years, previously i worked as a nanny for 12 years for private families around the Bristol area.
I am married and have two children.
I live in a quiet cul-de-sac with easy walking to local schools and pre-school, i live in a five bedroom semi-detached house with private rear fully enclosed garden with plenty of outdoor resources inc water/ play facilitiesand the garden is very child friendly. we also have three small dogs.
I regularly attend local groups such as soft play, the library, church tots, the children's centre, local parks, i also have a season ticket for noah's ark zoo farm and along with a national trust membership.
I like to be outside as much as possible on walks, garden play and parks, when home we like to do cooking, crafts,games, small world play and play with the many resources i have that covers all the areas of a child's development and follows child led interests and the EYFS framework.
I am also accredited and able to access and deliver the three year nursery funding and also accept the childcare vouchers linked through the work place.
I was last ofsted in November 2015 and retained my outstanding grading.
My Experience
I have 26 yrs of childminding experience along with previously 12 yrs of nannying experience, i have cared for very small babies, children with additional needs and many sets of twins, i give continuity and consistency and reliability for families and the children i care for and i like to take a child on for the long term if possible and this has mainly been from babies until they reach and leave to attend secondary school and see my home as an extension of their own.
My Qualifications
I was a qualified nanny for private families for 12 yrs before registering and qualifying as a Ofsted registered childminder.
I am also accredited which enables me to access the nursery funding that the local authority grants for three year olds and i follow and provide and assist in learning and development within the EYFS guidelines.
I also hold a current food hygiene certificate, also a first aid certificate, and child protection training, plus numerous other childcare related training and i am always looking to further my practice.
