About Me

NO availability before Sept 2026 (tbc). French native speaker providing childcare in French in a safe and friendly environment . Perfect for a either a bilingual family or a family looking to give their child the opportunity to experience a second language at a young age.

Prior to becoming a Childminder, I was Head of languages teacher in a Secondary School where I taught French and Spanish. The workload giving me little family time, after my second boy was born in 2012, I decided to become a childminder and your child 's first French teacher.
In terms of learning a foreign language the younger the better so don't be concerned about your child's ability to cope. I speak French to the children in my care and devise activities appropriate to their age group where French language is introduced, revisited and extended.

At home and outside activities are also developed around the children's interests and skills . Not a week is a same as I provide a varied,exciting curriculum to keep both children and parents engaged. weekly planning around a theme, a festival , a season, a book , a song ....
Sensory play , Stem cooking, arts and crafts, music and singing sessions as well as story telling , books .... are part of our weekly routine.
Your child will benefit from one to one attention and will also interact in play with other children in the setting.

Our nature outings / nos sorties nature are an essential part of the service I offer ; whatever the weather / quelque soit le temps ! Whether it is the local park ( I live walking distance to Albert park) , nature reserve , local wood. I am a member of the Forest Childcare Association and a member of the Childminding Best Practice Club.

Going to a play park , Millets farm or taking the bus to Oxford are other opportunities to offer the children new experiences, expose them to French in different setting.

In addition to interacting with me and the other children your child will have access to an extensive range of bilingual resources.

I follow The Early Years Foundation Stage framework and I aim to promote an active and playful environment at all times, as well as the best possible start to your child's education.
I attend the childminders' meeting organised by the OCC Early Years Team and always seek opportunities to develop my practise further.

I use Tapestry , an online journal ( in line with the EYFS) which is updated each half term / termly.
I also produce a weekly bilingual newsletter where parents and children can view all the learning and fun they have had during the week.
