My Experience

Hello parents and carers,

My name is Sam, I am an Ofsted-registered nanny and mum of two (my son is 20 and my daughter is 14). I am also a former registered children's nurse, which gives me a wonderful foundation in child health, infant safety, and early developmental milestones.
Childcare, for me, is all about creating a warm and nurturing environment where your child feels happy, safe, and truly valued. I focus on building a strong, trusted bond with every child in my care, giving them the confidence to explore, learn, and grow at their own comfortable pace.
I love getting out and about with the little ones, visiting local children’s centres, library storytimes, visiting urban farms, playing in local parks and soft plays, or going on lovely day trips to Kew Gardens, the Wetland Centre, and National Trust gardens. I am also happy to take children to classes you choose, whether that is swimming, ballet, sensory play, gymnastics, or football.
I also place a big focus on quality time spent at home. I use home time to create a gentle blend of relaxing, quiet moments and fun learning activities. This could be reading books, singing songs, building dens, dancing, enjoying sensory play, playing with developmental toys, and having fun with baking or age-appropriate cooking.

I am looking to join a loving family where I can provide long-term stability and continuity of care as your child grows.

My Qualifications

Ofsted registered nanny.
Children’s nursing qualification (2005).
Paediatric first aid qualification (12 hour course) (2025).
Relax kids course completed during Covid (online).
Online courses completed in: Safeguarding children and adults (level 3). (2024)
Maternal mental health.
Breastfeeding.
I am always updating my learning.

My Availability

I am currently looking for a permanent nanny role (a minimum of 24 hours per week) with a contract.

I have availabilty at the moment for adhoc work. It is free to message me as I am a gold member.

My Fees

• Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)

I am Ofsted registered, parents who are eligible can claim tax-free child care.

My rates reflect whether I’m joining your family in a permanent role or as a self-employed maternity nanny.

Permanent Nanny Care ( contract)
£21 gross per hour for full-time.
£23 gross per hour for 30 hours a week or less.


I am happy to continue my Ofsted registration for a permanent role. However, the employer will be asked to cover the cost of the registration fees.

Self-Employed rate is between, £26-£30 gross per hour.

As an independent this rate covers my services along with my own business overheads.
