About Me
Hi, my name is Rosie and I have been a childminder for over 20 years now and I love it. I have 3 children aged 23, 20 and 17 and they all enjoy there mum being a childminder, the children that come to my setting love my children, they are all treat as part of the family by us all. I enjoy watching children that I have looked after since they were babies growing up into beautiful young children. I have a large house and secure back garden that gives the children plenty of outdoor sensory play experiences, we also live around the corner from our local park so visits are frequent. I promote equal opportunities and I do not discriminate against race or gender and neither do my children or the children I care for. The idea of coming to me as a childminder is for the children to have fun and learn through play in a secure and safe environment, to make new friendships and to teach the children there own individual independance. We have cats and a very cute cavalier king Charles dog that all the children love!!!!
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience as a childminder and 23 as a mum!! I have helped run local toddler groups, a volunteer classroom assistant at our local school and regularly attend our local toddler groups.
My Qualifications
My last 2 Ofsted inspections in 2013 and 2017 were rated OUTSTANDING, the inspector commented on the interaction between myself and the children, the excellent resources and learning opportunities for children and the fact each child was individually encouraged in their development within my setting.
I have completed my NVQ3 and NVQ4 in Childcare. I have a full Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Enhanced DBD certificate. I am fully ofsted registered and up-to-date with the new Early Years Foundation Stages Principles and have training in the My Learning Picture carrying out regular assessments and observations in line with government guidelines. I also have, Basic Food Hygeine and Child Protection certificates along with others.
