Doreen has just completed a temporary stint for us working two full days a week looking after my 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter over the summer holidays (2026).

All I can say is that I am so glad we stumbled upon Doreen. She carried me through a long 9 week summer holiday keeping my two children busy with outings to the local library, the town’s splash park & playground as well as visiting various other playgrounds in our town (as per the request of my son). Doreen was very happy and capable to take them further afield but we chose to stay local for familiarity & to continue play sessions with new friends!

I was invariably home most of the time while Doreen had the children but was still able to get the jobs done that I needed as husband was abroad at various times of the holiday. My son likes to test boundaries and is very confident within his opinions however Doreen handled him like a champ and was firm but fair in how she dealt with him and the occasional tantrum/ resistance. She is highly experienced with children of all ages and it really showed with how she handled each of my children in a manner that suited their personality.
I would have no hesitation calling Doreen in future and we miss her already!
