About Me
Hi, I'm Linda - an Ofsted, Outstanding, registered Childminder. I’m married with 2 grown up children both away studying at university.
Our house is a non smoking household, we live in a spacious semi-detached house in Scholar Green which has a safe, secure enclosed rear garden. Outdoor space includes playhouse, slide, ride on toys, water play and den play area.
I have been a childminder since 2011 and at my last 2 inspections (2022 & 2015) Ofsted awarded me an Outstanding judgement in all areas of which all my mindees and myself are very proud of, as we are an excellent team. My husband is approved by Ofsted to work as my assistant, this gives me the flexibility to react at short notice to changes in parents' working patterns should the need arise. He is also fully CRB checked and holds a current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
I am ideally situated just off the A34, handy for commuters between Stoke on Trent and Congleton or Manchester.
I provide a happy, caring and fun environment with plenty of activities which fit into the Early Years Foundation Stage. We enjoy regular visits to the park and enjoy lovely nature rambles in our rural idyllic setting. Our activities include Arts and Craft, role play dress up, construction toys, baking, gardening and books, to name a few.
We enjoy healthy snacks and home made meals. Some of our favourites are home made veggie pasta bake, fish pie, cottage pie, spaghetti with home made tomato sauce and a variety of home made soups and stews with snacks of lovely crunchy fruit and veg. We also save a little room for lovely treats of cakes and buns and home made biscuits.
My Experience
I have hands on expreience of nurturing and childcare as a mother of two children and have looked after children since I trained to be a childminder with Cheshire East and have been registered with Ofsted since January 2011.
I have previous experience as a volunteer at Scholar Green Primary School where I assisted with reading, outings and craft activites, often chaperoning the children from reception age to Year 6.
My Qualifications
Approved DfE Early Years Area lead and mentor
Paediatric First Aid
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Safeguarding
Level 2 certificate in Mental Health in the Early Years
Academically:
Degree in Design - which I actively use to benefit the children with art & craft activities from a very early age to give enabling activities to help with development and learning.
