My name is Ruth and I live in the South Walkden area. I am registered to look after 6 children under the age of 8, 3 who may be in the early years age group (birth -5). I work term time only catering for parents who work in education.
I live with my husband in a large semi-detached house which has gates and fencing around an above average sized garden.
I also do drop offs and pick ups at James Brindley Primary School. You can view my Ofsted inspection report on the government website and I have received a Good rating in all my Ofsted inspections.
We attend Toddler groups and soft play alongside home activities such as play doh, baking, messy play and of course outdoor play in my garden and local parks.
My Experience
I have worked as a registered childminder for sixteen years caring for children from age range of 4 months to 11 years. I hold a current paediatric first aid qualification.
I regularly attend childminding groups so as to keep up to date with latest developments. I also attend training courses provided by the Local Authority such as Child Protection, Observation, Assessment and Planning and early maths.
Before I trained as a childminder I used to volunteer at James Brindley Primary School doing activies such as baking,reading, number work, supervising outdoor play. I have also covered for teaching assistants during their absence. My experience was mainly in the nursery class.
I have experience of working with children with special needs and previously provided care for a little boy with down's syndrome.
I also have references/letters of recommendation from parents of children I have cared for.
My Qualifications

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Fees £40 per day - half fee in school holidays for early years children.
Wraparound care £14.50 per day
Hours of opening are
Monday- Thursday 7.30 - 4.45
Please note I do not work Friday
Fees are reviewed annually and a notice period of one month is given if there is to be any increase.
I also offer the two and three/four year old funding for those children who are eligible I offer the extended 30 hours of childcare (additional charges may apply).
