My name is Farrah, I have been childminding for 21 years. Our recent inspection February 2024 we were graded good! We are based just by the finger post in Pelsall, local to Bloxwich, Brownhills and Norton Canes.
I work along side 2x assistants so we are able to care for a few more children than other childminders. My assistants are also level 3 qualified and keep up to date with all the relevant training. I have three children of my own boy who's 20,2 x girls who's are 15 and 5.
I offer a clean, non-smoking and welcoming home with a wide range of educational and fun toys for both indoor and outdoor. We provide group activities daily (messy play, story time, nursery rhymes and actions) all to form good relationships with staff and other children.
I have dealt with a lot of first times parents who are very nervous/anxious about leaving their child, I understand as I had to do it my self with my own when he was a baby. Myself and staff have good working relationships with all my parents and their families and make time to discuss any worries/concerns that they may have.
I have a Diploma in childcare, NVQ Level 3 CYPWF & NVQ level 5 in leadership & management in social care and children's services. I have attended many courses with Early Years which do include First Aid and child protection. I have also spent 6 months within a nursery setting as manager.
I was also a childminder mentor to help new childminders through the process of starting their new roles, also to support and advise.
I Offer you as a parent........
-Very good childcare service throughout. We keep in touch, arrange meet ups after children have moved on to on to preschool and school.
-Good communication between parents.
-Reliable childcare.
-The understanding of how difficult it is to leave your child/children.
My aim as a childminder is.......
- A friendly atmosphere where ALL children are welcome (to recent government funding we cater for younger children first)
- A wide range of toys and equipment to suit all needs, ages and stages of development in children.
- I have all policies in place which include, Health and hygiene, Equal opportunities, Behavior management, Child protection, Medication, Visits and outings, and Sickness.

- I have all relevant procedures and plans in place which include, Fire evacuation plan, Accident procedure, Activity plan and Healthy eating.
-I have all the relevant permission forms in place which include, Outing and trip permission forms.
- I work in partnership with parents and share information on a daily basis.
- I attend regular ongoing training.
- I evaluate all the children activities and improve them if needed.
My Experience
21 years experience with young children, nursery management leading a team of staff.
My Qualifications
NVQ LEVEL 5 leadership and management (early years & residential)
NVQ level 3 within early years and child development.
Both staff are NVQ level 3 qualified.
My Availability
Any Holidays booked, parents are given at least 4 weeks notice.
Training dates may be unpredictable but given as much notice as possible.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Childminder holiday- No Fee
Childminder ill- No fee (if funded, hours will be added to school holidays to make up for the loss)
Child/parent holiday- Full Fee
Child ill- Full Fee
Bank holidays- Closed
Christmas Holiday (2 weeks)
We accept childcare vouchers, tax free voucher scheme & student finance.
Also 9 month - 2 year old funding. (Once contract is signed you are tied into that contract for that term under Walsall council)

I just want to say a huge thank you for the incredible care you give my daughter. You look after her with so much love, gentleness and attention — it means the world to me as a mum. My little boy has been with Farrah since he was 9 months old. They have been brilliant with him. They are so friendly and kind and my little boy loves going there, couldn't recommend enough they are just amazing.

Farrah has looked after my twin babies since the age of five months. I will always be grateful to her and her team for their amazing support, love and attention she has given my children. They have flourished, learnt new skills, and are very happy and settled when I leave them with Farrah. You couldn’t ask for any more from a childminder. If you are considering Farrah as your childminder, then I hope this review sways you to contacting her. :)

Im so happy i chose to send my daughter to cheeky charlies, the home from home setting is exactly what i wanted for her. Farah, toni and jess are amazing and look after my daughter so well, she has not once cried to go there, and comes home so happy. The staff are all genuinely lovely and i cant thank them enough!

I can’t recommend these guys enough! Lovely ladies, they care for my son so well and he loves going, he’s excited to go every time and goes in without issues every day ☺️ happy to go in and play and if that doesn’t say it all !!!
Always very attentive to his needs, he struggles with food issues and they always follow our plans and food guidance. Anything I ask is always followed nothing is too much trouble !

We are so happy that we chose Cheeky Charlie’s for our little one! Farrah, Jess & Toni are just brilliant. Couldn’t ask for anymore from a childminder. Our daughter is well looked after and always smiling at pick up time. They do some many different activities with the children. Can’t thank them enough for how they look after our daughter!

Couldn’t recommend the team enough. Farrah, Jess & Toni were all so kind and caring with my little boy. The little touches like Father’s Day, Mother’s Day & Christmas crafts ect were so lovely. Such a lovely place, cannot thank them enough for the care they provided during his time.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful childminder for our daughter. Farah is just amazing..From the very first day, she made us feel welcome and at ease — which meant so much, especially as this was our first experience with a childminder.
Coming from a different culture and still learning the language, we were nervous about how everything would work. But she handled everything brilliantly, with so much patience, understanding, and kindness. She never made us feel uncomfortable and always took the time to communicate clearly and respectfully, which we truly appreciate.
Our daughter settled in quickly and loves spending time with her. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the children she looks after. She is warm, professional, and always full of positive energy.
Knowing our daughter is in such safe and loving hands gives us real peace of mind. We are truly grateful for the care and support she provides. Highly recommended!

Farrah and her team offer a fantastic service! They have been nothing but kind and patient with my situation and my twins adore going to them. I feel safe knowing my children are in their care and that has empowered me to look for work knowing that my children will be safe with them!
Can't praise them enough and I'll always appreciate the support they have given me and my twins.

My 2 year old little girl has been going here since she was around 14 months old and as a first time Mum I was so nervous about sending her to childcare but I can hand on heart say she absolutely loves her days here! When she knows she’s going she will grab her shoes and coat and wait at the door saying “come on Mum let’s go!” so I know she’s excited! She goes in smiling and all the staff are so friendly! They really provide a home from home setting which I love. We’ve received amazing personalised craft pieces on special occasions like Christmas/Mother’s Day etc and my daughter has come on leaps and bounds since going there. You can tell they spend time teaching the children things but also providing a day full of fun activities! Would absolutely recommend Farrah and the girls to anyone who is looking for a fun and caring environment for their child.
