About Me

Hi there,

I'm Steph an experienced Ofsted registered child minder graded OUTSTANDING. I live in Hayes Bromley with my husband and 24 year old daughter Lily who is in her 3rd year studying midwifery at university.

I have over 20 years experience with babies, toddlers twins and older children.

I am DBS checked, pediatric first aid qualified and take regular safeguarding and other courses to enhance my knowledge and skills, I have child minding public liability insurance and a clean driving license with the appropriate insurance, I am also triple vaccinated.

I have a comfortable 3 bedroom semi detached house with lots of room for playing and having fun inside and out, I have a dedicated playroom with lots of toys and activities to entertained the children whilst encourage their learning through play.

I know how difficult it is to find good quality childcare and to feel confident you’ve chosen the right person to take care of your precious little one. I am a child minder because I enjoy it and the children I mind become an extension of our family. All my mindees are happy and confident, they feel happy and loved and completely at home. I concentrate on the child’s happiness and mental well being above all else.

I absolutely love being outside and going on adventures large or small with the children, I also like tapping into the local amenities available. We usually go out every day; we visit local toddler groups, parks, woods, farms, libraries and even our own allotment where we have a Wendy house and lots of space for digging and planting and exploring nature! Sometimes we also venture further afield to London or the sea side when possible. We love a singsong and dance, anything that engages the children and celebrates their uniqueness, my goal is to see smiles and make them happy.

I like to try new activities, I’m always on the hunt for new things to explore with the children. I enjoy letting the children have a go with all sorts of crafts and a tasty bits of baking.

My main aims is to give the children a first class start in life so working in partnership with the parents is paramount. Every child is unique so by working well together we can both nurture them and provide them with a safe, loving, fulfilling environment where they are happy and confident thus allowing them to thrive and let their talents flourish.

I offer a stimulating & educational learning approach through play, I follow the EYFS framework. I regularly track the children’s progress to ensure the child is reaching their full potential.

I share photos and Information on the days activities with parents, my door or phone line is never closed as I feel it is important for all parents to feel I’m assessable if they have a question, worries or just need a chat about their little one. I feel it’s important to work well with parents and other providers.

I offer tax free childcare voucher and 2/3/4 year old funding.
