About Me

Hi my name is Sophie, I have two children of my own and have worked with children for 19 years now.

I'm a fun, loving, energetic person. I interact well with children of all ages. I am very sociable and easy to get along with, I am also a excellent communicator.

I love getting messy, going to groups and just generally being outdoors!

My Experience

I studied at college and whilst doing that I went to 6 different placements which were a mixture of nurseries and primary schools.

I’ve over 15 years experience from working in a variety of settings, from crèches, to being room leader in a nursery, and for 12 years being a nanny, including being with one family for 7 years.
I’ve cared for children aged birth- 12 years.

I’m February 2022, I became a Ofsted registered childminder. In September 2026 I took on more assistants and work part of the week on a non domestic premises still as a childminder.

My Qualifications

I studied CACHE diploma level 3 in childcare and education at Colchester institute 2007- 2009 and recieved a pass grade.

Whilst at work I also done CACHE level 4 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development - achieved in May 2011

I have- a full UK clean driving license.

My Availability

I offer term time only spaces for early years children Monday- Wednesday 8-530 and after school pick ups from Broomgrove Schools and Millfields Primary School on Monday to Wednesday
In the holidays, if I am open, hours will be available on a adhoc basis- meaning you only pay for what you use in those weeks.


Only available currently for school pick ups in Wivenhoe.
