I'm a 44yr old British nanny. I'm kind, caring and bubbly, and love looking after children. I have 29years of childcare experience with children ranging from newborn to 10yrs old. I'm also a qualified primary school teacher & mum to a 13yr old girl & also a 6mth old baby who comes to work with me. I am ofsted registered & have an up to date first aid certificate. I hold a clean driving licence & own a car that's insured for work purposes. I am a non-smoker.
Aside from the usual nanny duties of cooking, doing laundry, keeping the toys organised etc, I take children to playgroups, classes, soft play, parks, museums, on play dates, day trips to the farm, seaside & so on. We would also spend time at home playing, doing arts and crafts, baking etc.
My Experience
I've been a nanny for 26yrs & I also did ad hoc childcare & babysitting prior to that, looking after up to four children at a time, including experience with newborns & twins. I also have now got 13yrs experience of being a mummy, which I believe is very valuable as I now see things from both the nanny's and the parents' perspective, and have experienced the many stages & phases that small children go through. I hold excellent, checkable references - a couple of my previous employers have written on here & my current employers would also be happy to provide a reference to anyone looking to use me as a babysitter.
My Qualifications
I've got:
A BAEd in Primary Education specialising in the early years.
Two A Levels & one AS Level.
Eleven GCSEs.
A current first aid certificate
A clean, British driving licence
My Availability
Im looking for either 4/5 days a week as a term time only nanny, or 3 days a week if it’s all year round. I bring my 6mth old son with me.
My Fees
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
£20 gross per hour for one family regardless of number of children
£15 gross per hour for a share with two families
£15 per hour cash in hand for evening & weekend babysitting
I am ofsted registered so can accept childcare vouchers.
Please note, the employers are responsible for the tax & NI contributions for a nanny! For further information regarding paying a nanny, look up companies such as Nannytax, NannyPaye etc.

Kate will have looked after our daughters (now 2.5 and 6) for 2 years, while bringing her own daughter to work with her and we are very sad to see her go, but fully understand her decision to look for a position closer to her home.
Kate is a wonderful nanny to have had in our family, who has a great attitude, is hugely reliable and very much loved by our daughters.
Her organisational skills have proven to be an integral part of the functioning of our daily family life. She is very pro-active in arranging a varied schedule of daily activities, incl. playgroups, trips to the park, day trips to the farm/ sea side during school holidays.
She has a wide breadth of experience to draw on and has helped and supported us through various development stages incl. potty-training, sleep issues and introducing food variety.
Her open and chatty personality mixed with her professionalism make her a great nanny to welcome into any family and we are very sad to let her go and wish her all the best in her next role.
