About Me
My name is Leonie and I have recently moved to Hertford. I am a Nursery Nurse (NNEB) and Nanny by trade with over 25 years of experience in childcare, though I am currently working as a Scrub Nurse in a London hospital.
As a mother to my 7-year-old son, I would love to dedicate my Mondays and Fridays to supporting a lovely local family. My goal is to use my decades of experience to provide a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for your children where I can become a helpful, reliable part of your weekly routine.
I have my own car and I am happy to travel to surrounding areas.
My Experience
I worked as a Nursery Nurse for 17 years at a private day nursery, specialising in care and early education for 2 to 5 year olds.
I have 5 years of experience as a private nanny for various families. Most recently, I cared for a little girl from the age of 7 months to 2 years old alongside my NHS role, a position that only just concluded in 2024 when the family relocated.
My current professional background in theatre nursing means I am highly trained in safety and first aid. You can have total peace of mind that your children are in the most capable hands.
Having my own son means I understand the practicalities of family life, the importance of routine, reliability, and genuine care.
My Qualifications
NNEB Diploma (1994)
Bsc hons in Operating Department Practice (2018)
Recent DBS ( September 2025)
On going CMT (core mandatory training) through my NHS job includes :-
Safe guarding children
Autism awareness
Paediatric and adult life support
My Availability
I am currently available on Mondays and Fridays.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (net)
£18 nph (negotiable for the right family)

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at North Islington Nursery School

Leonie worked at my nursery for many years. She completed the full NNEB training, which in my view far exceeds the current Level 3 CYPW. Leonie was reliable, hard working, completely trustworthy, kind and caring. The children loved her and she is still in touch with many children and families from that time.
Leonie always kept up to date with current legislation and has a thorough understanding of child development and learning, she is not 'just a baby sitter'. She is capable and confident with young children as well as organised and fun.
Leonie will work with parents to offer the best possible start to a child's education whilst nurturing their needs and making them happy!

Leonie has worked for us since July last year and is sadly leaving us as we are moving out of London, we are very sorry to see her go.
We are a busy professional couple and Leonie has easily slotted into our family’s lives, making childcare very simple for us. She is reliable, trustworthy, professional, always on time and always willing to stay late.
She has shown that she is highly motivated and capable of acting on her own initiative. She undertook general nursery duties with care and precision and showed willingness and skill in planning, cooking and serving healthy and balanced meals. We have been very happy with her work and would highly recommend her for any nanny position.
