About Me
Hello, my name is Cheryl and I’ve been nannying for all kinds of family sizes and dynamics for 17 years, from new borns to 15 years with my current role ending due to the twins going to school which seems madness as I had them from when they were five months old! I’m also a mum myself to a little girl who is 10 and recently just had my second little girl. I’m confident and caring fun loving individual whois proactive in working on my intuitive to benefit the needs of my charges and the family routines within each of my roles alongside nannying and bringing my own children along I home educated my eldest daughter til she was seven including my charges in our learning through play set ups and opportunities to develop their skills in a child led environment that’s homely and engaging. I love to be outside exploring the beauty of our surroundings as well as attending local groups and play dates. Since having my own daughter I’ve found I have further developed my creativity learning through play with tuff tray set ups, different sensory play activities alongside small world play- a few favourites from my charges have included fairy lands to dinosaur swamps to out of space adventures I enjoy this so much I find my ideas are endless. I feel sensory play is hugely beneficial to children of all ages to benefit all aspects of their development as I feel such engagement in such activities cover every aspect of learning in their early years. I feel I’m an easy going person who is more than happy to help with the needs of each family I’ve nannied for.
My Experience
Over my 17 years of nannying I’ve had an array of experience from new borns- twins to large families and small each one I’ve taken my knowledge of providing a safe and stimulating environment into each home and worked along side parents to provide the best care for their children. I’m capable of planning days out, attending local groups, fun learning activities, I thrive on providing engaging experiences for my charges and their interests to encourage their development in their own homes, where they’re comfortable and confident to reach their potential. I’ve been known to throw myself into different topics and themes from Halloween crafts and parties to woodland magical walks. I really enjoy keeping parents up to date with our day to day activities by sending messages and pictures of their children to brighten their working days. I try to think of fun ways to complete homework tasks with my older charges and take note when they might just need some downtime.

My Availability
I'm with my current family of four years until aug 2023 from oct onwards I’ll be available for full days or part time hours. Happy to also discuss nanny shares or ad hoc help. I'm more than happy to discuss hours with you and see if we can come up with a way in which to suit your needs I'm very felixible.
