About Me
Hi my name is Cheryl, I'M an OFSTED GRADED GOOD registered Childminder and have been childminding since 2002 and have an NVQ 2 and NVQ 3 in childcare and education.
I am married with 2 daughters and we live in the Bedwell area of Stevenage just a short walk to Fairlands Valley Park. I have a full clean driving licence and keep a safe clean home and working environment.
I run a varied day, usually going to playgroups in the morning and activities/ arts & crafts/cooking, sports & free play at home in the afternoon. As I'm close to Fairlands park, on dry days we take a picnic lunch and either go to the sprinklers or the local park for the afternoon.
During school holidays there will be more varied trips such as Theme Parks, Farms and Museums.
My fees include snacks and playgroup entry fees.
I am fully insured, CRB checked and i have completed courses in Introduction to Childminding, First Aid and Safeguarding Children.
I also follow the EYFS framework.
I have 2 King Charles dogs one is 1 years old and the other is 2 years old .
We also have 2 cats
My Experience
I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for over 19 years.
On my last inspection I was graded good in all areas , my Ofsted report is available to view upon request , I have had many years experience and I have thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the many children under my care. It's always a pleasure to bump into some of my older mindees and see how they are getting on.
Of course most of the experience comes from having children myself. I have 2 Daughters of my own aged 16 & 21
I also have work experience in a nursery and the reception class whilst I was studying for my NVQ 2.

- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
i offer fixed and flexible contracts.
my fees include snacks and play group entry fees
From £6.50 per hour depending on hours you need
I am now able to offer the 2-3 years and 3- 4 years funding and the 12-24 months funding .

“ My daughter Avery has been attending Cheryl’s child minding setting for a year now. Avery was only 9 months old when I first brought her to Cheryl and I was worried if Avery would be settling in well or not. Cheryl is very caring and Avery has no problem settling in. Cheryl brings her to different activities like play groups, rhyme time at the library, the farm etc.
Avery is very happy to see Cheryl in the morning whenever I drop her off. For me, as a parent the most important thing is for my child to be safe, happy and looked after well. I could count on Cheryl for that and we are very grateful that Avery is in safe hands. “

My son has shown massive improvement in all aspects. He used to go to nursery before but wasnt so much cared. Cheryl always takes him to play groups, does lot of activities etc. Thank you Cheryl for being so helpful. for giving my child a sense of belonging, happiness, and comfort while in your care. My son has gained so much from your positive attitude. Thank you so much for keeping happily entertained, loved, and cared for during the day.

Cheryl is an amazing childminder so glad we chose Cheryl to look after my daughter. They do groups and activities everyday and my daughter loves going to Cheryl’s
