About Me
I love watching as a child learns something new and being a part of that growing experience. I am patient and kind and have a great understanding of what other mothers and fathers are looking for in a child carer. Along with 10 years experience, I have a deep understanding of the learning and development of children and help this along through play, exciting outings and activities. I value manners, respect, kindness and routine, and model this to the little ones as part of our everyday and in everything we do.
My Experience
I draw on the experience of having my own two children (who are now teenagers) as well as the children I have loved and cared for over the past 10 years (ranging from 8 months to 10 year olds). I have worked closely with families in this time and know what is needed and expected when looking after the children in my care. Our weekly activities consist of outdoor play, outings and trips, various physical outings such as softplay, national trust days, parks, role play centres etc. Our indoor play consists of a range from playdough, arts and crafts, stories, library visits, sorting and matching games to many, many a nursery rhyme time! I have a strong ‘good’ Ofsted rating and follow the EYFS framework with the 7 areas of learning and development at the heart of my setting, all delivered through lots of play and fun.
My Qualifications
I am a fully registered Childminder with Ofsted. I have my pediatric first aid certificate as well as having achieved my unit from the council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE) Which includes the 7 main areas of a childs learning and development, health and safety in the home, good hygiene practices and learning for children through play. Fully qualified in Child protection and Level 3 Safeguarding Children (updated two yearly and a refresher done yearly)
I also have my certificates in Food Health and Safety (Level 1 and 2) along with Personal Hygiene (Level 1 and 2).
I am always updating my knowledge with new courses and webinars on a regular basis and have many CPD hours under my belt. (Certificates available on request).
My Availability
My current availability is Tuesday - Friday 7:45 -17:00.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My Fees are:
£7.00 per hour (private rate)
(I am registered to offer the 30 hours funding entitlement too)
Parents can supply a packed lunch or I can supply a hot meal at lunch time for a small additional fee of £3.00.
Outings and entry fees to certain centres are not always included however these will always be agreed in advance.
