About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder based near Kings Norton Train Station in Birmingham, offering a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children. Together with my husband Eddie and our two daughters, aged 21 and 23, we enjoy a happy household where everyone is encouraged to thrive, achieve, and care for one another.
In my care, children are not only happy but also have the chance to build lasting friendships and explore the world around them.
My Experience
I have 23 years of experience. Having been a childminder for over 19 years , also looking after my own children and my friends children. The ages of the children, I have minded range from from 5 months to 17 years.
At my last Ofsted inspection and all of my inspections I have achieved positive outcomes.
As part of our weekly routine we go regular outings to places like, stay and play , soft play , the library, parks, and local attractions such as the Science Museum, Lickey Hills, Sea Life Centre, Forest School, the Botanical Gardens, Twycross Zoo, Birmingham Conservation Centre, Cannon Hill Park, and even Birmingham Airport to watch the planes landing.
At home, we also engage in fun, creative activities like baking and crafting, giving the children a chance to express themselves and develop new skills.

My daughter (Z) has been cared for by Nicky since she was around 10 months old till now (20 months) Quite quickly it was clear that Nicky and Z formed a close bond and I felt happy to leave Z with her from the beginning. I can tell that Z feels safe and happy to be left with Nicky and has positive associations around Nicky and her home.
Nicky has always been very communicative, mostly via whatsapp which suits me very well whilst at work, she sends lots of pictures and updates which I really appreciate.
Nicky goes out with the children nearly every day which I really like and feel she is getting a broad range of experiences outside and in different fun environments. Nicky also meets up regularly with other childminders and their children which again gives Z the experience of being in a larger group of mixed age children which I feel has been great for her development.
Nicky has made my transition from maternity leave into work very easy and I will be forever grateful for that as I know for lots of parents it can be a very difficult time. I have always felt very happy that Z is being well cared for and haven't felt anxious at all about leaving Z in her care. I completely trust that Nicky is providing Z with the care she needs, but also providing an enriching environment for her to thrive in.

Nicky took care of both of my sons from 1 years until 5 and they still think of her fondly! She provides a caring family home with lots of arts and crafts, baking, trips to the park, walks to the play group and visits to the Botanical Gardens. They would come home messy, tired but very happy! She has many years of experience and my children thrived in her care. Nicky is professional; she genuinely cares about the children and their development. It was great to have had her and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to another parent.

Nicky has looked after my son since he was a baby and also provided before and after school care for my daughter for a year. We’ve been really happy with Nicky and most importantly so have our children. She is a kind and loving person to my son and he has a strong bond with her. I love that he gets to mix with children of different ages in a home environment as well as going out every day to do an activity. He has made great friends that I am sure will last into school. Nicky lets us know every day how he is getting on and sends message and photo updates. I would recommend her to anyone looking for childcare.

Both our children have been cared for by Nicky since they were babies. They absolutely adore her and it's clear she loves them too. It's such a relief to drop them off knowing they'll be safe and happy all day.
Nicky does tons with the kids: crafts, excursions, playgroups, parks and she monitors their development thoughtfully and carefully.
We couldn't be without her; highly recommended.
