Lovely small setting

Our son has attended this nursery for just over 12 months. We chose this nursery after looking at a couple in the area and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was the one. A lovely small setting next to the Brook amd very warm and welcoming feel and staff. It felt very personalised and we knew he would be well looked after here, others were far to large and felt to focused on targets rather than the child themselves. The staff are very welcoming and all make Teddy feel welcome and he enjoys going, even though it is only 2 days a week, he has settled into it excellent. We are updated daily via an app of what he has had to eat, drink, nappy changes, and activities and the food menu is varied and full of nutrition. He has come on so well in the time he has been there and loves the staff to bits. Cannot recommend enough.

exceptional level of care

This nursery is honestly second to none and i would recommend to absolutely anybody who is looking for a childcare setting that feels like a home away from home. My son attended here from 2023-2025 and when i fell pregnant with my daughter i knew she would be going nowhere else other than here. To say i am happy with this nursery is an understatement. they really do go above and beyond. not only with the children but with families too. All staff have been a shoulder to cry on when i’ve needed it and has listened to all my troubles and worries no matter how busy they may be. My son absolutely loved Brook cottage and i was devastated when he left to go to nursery but 6 months later we returned with my little girl. All of the meals are freshly home cooked and have a wide variety so there’s never the same meals week in or out. The children are taken on day trips or a walk around the local areas to expand their knowledge and encourage creative play and there’s always a different set up each day. They keep me regularly updated with nappy changes, nap times and what my daughter has eaten and drank throughout the day through the app along side pictures of what she is getting up to. I am so glad i chose Brook Cottage to care for my children.

Perfect Setting

This is a truly lovely nursery with an amazing team. Its smaller, more personal setting was one of the main reasons we chose it, following recommendations from family, and it really shows in the level of care and attention each child receives. The staff create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel happy and supported. Our son has settled in so well and clearly enjoys his time there, which gives us complete peace of mind as parents. We’re so grateful for the care and dedication shown by everyone.

❤️ Brook Cottage ❤️

My little boy started Brook Cottage just over a year ago at the age of 18 months when we moved to the area. He’d already been at a different nursery for a year before we moved so we have the benefit of having been at another setting other than Brook Cottage to make a comparison.
Brook Cottage blows any other setting out of the water. Hands down. I can’t fault a thing!
The meals provided are always balanced, nutritious and thoroughly enjoyed by all. My boy often turns his nose up at anything I prepare for him after coming home well fed and happy.
The arts and crafts are always well thought through, interesting and fun! The staff are very imaginative with the daily tuff trays and everything is documented on the app.
My little boy’s vocabulary is improving day by day. He has incredible manners and is very caring, which is a reflection of what he sees and is taught each day.
Every single member of staff is incredibly knowledgable - I’ve often asked for their input if we’re going through a particularly troublesome stage.
We often sings songs on an evening and weekend and he will input staff members names into the songs without any prompting 🥹
The delight in his face when he is dropped off each morning fills me with such joy. To know I can go to work while he has the most amazing day, each day, is such a relief having been at a previous setting where the feeling wasn’t quite the same.
Each child at Brook Cottage isn’t just looked after for the day, they are loved… and it truly shows.

Lovely little nursery and wonderful staff

My son had difficulty settling in having started nursery before around 10 months, but the staff here are wonderful and the environment is like a little home from home. They have made everything much easier and I'm glad we chose Brook Cottage and will be sad when our time comes to move on.

Parent of a child at Brook Cottage

Brook cottage is a wonderful, cozy setting.
As soon as I walked into the setting, I knew it was the right place for my little boy.
The staff are genuinely kind, thoughtful and nothing is too much to ask.

My little boy has come on leaps and bounds in the year and a half that he’s been attending.
He looks forward to going in to see his friends in the morning and even asks for his key worker Hannah when we’re driving there in the morning!
The updates from Brook cottage show me how much fun he’s having and how much he’s leading throughout the day.
I love the fact that he also gets to go on outings in the local area too!
It’s a 10/10 from me and I would recommend Brook Cottage.

Brook Cottage Family

Highly recommend any child to attend this nursery, my child has been attending this nursery since they were 1 years old, nursery have had a massive impact on them developing into the perfect clever little monkey they are today and they continue to come home showing me everything they are learning.

Nursery is a second home for my child, I appreciate the daily photos and updates I receive about their day.

My pick up times and drop off times at nursery are always welcomed with a smile and conversation which is always lovely! 💗

The nursery have a caterpillar room and a butterfly room, they are constantly changing and developing the nursery and when I don't think it can improve anymore, they come up with more amazing ideas and are always improving the learning stations within the nursery which is really impressive! If you wish for your child to go to a nursery where you can relax and know they are safe, cared for and loved when you are not around then this is the place to go x

Brook Cottage's No. 1 Fan

As my title suggests, I love this nursery. My daughter started attending at 9 months' old with additional feeding needs (NG tube) which was handled exceptionally well by the staff. They have continued to nurture her into the wonderful, clever, confident little girl she is now, with amazing relationships that she developed at this nursery. 100% recommended.

Truly amazing nursery

Brook Cottage Nursery is the perfect setting for our daughter. She has been going since she was 12 months old and has come on leaps and bounds since joining 6 months ago. They learn different Makaton signs everyday and have different themes each week. Our daughter is obsessed with Arts & Crafts and we see that she does this as an activity every day! I know I’m dropping her off in such amazing and caring hands. She loves all of the practitioners. I can’t praise the staff enough!

Wonderful place

My daughter has attended this nursery from the age of 18 months up until now at the age of 4 years, until she starts school in September. She has made great progress since starting the nursery including, letters, numbers, reading & speech. Through her time at Brooke cottage the nursery have catered for her individual needs such as assisting with toilet training, nutritional needs & much more.. Staff are approachable, kind & nothing is too much trouble. Your kept updated with everything that’s going on during your child’s day & they use a great system into which they upload your children’s day & progress. Set close to the countryside the nursery offers a lovely environment for children to play & learn as-well as understand the importance of nature & the local surroundings. The staff take the children out of the nursery setting on a regular basis which my daughter thoroughly enjoys. The staff take great pride in ensuring the children are safe, their needs are met & that’s they get the most out of their day. My daughter always comes out smiling with a story to tell & she’ll be sad to leave.
