About Me

Hi, my name is Sam Trethewey and I am an accredited registered childminder, graded 'Outstanding' with OFSTED 2022. I live on a working farm just outside Bodmin and have weekly forest school sessions in our woods. I am able to offer funding for 2/3/4 year olds. I have a large outdoor play area with swings, slide and sandpit. I am a member of the local childminding group and we spend a lot of time outside, whatever the weather. The children love playing in the woods and looking at the animals. Please contact me for an informal chat and arrange to have a look around.

My Experience

I have been childminding for over 20 years. I have NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care and Education and have attended numerous courses over the years. I have recently completed a Maths Champion course focusing on improving Maths in the early years.

My Qualifications

I have an NVQ 3 in childcare and am able to offer nursery funded places. I also have paediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates. I regularly attend training to keep up to date with developments in the childcare world.
