About Me
I have lived in Loughton for 36 years and I have worked with children for over 34 years and have found every day to be and enjoyable one. I am a mum of three children, all girls, two who have children of their own and the other who is now 24 and still lives at home. We have a family pet (dog) who has been around the children from day one and is keep up to date with all his vacations etc who can be kept separate from the children If needed. I Have been a Ofsted Registered childminder since 2002. I originally passed my NNEB in 1984 then in 2010 I passed my NVQ level 3 in childcare development (CCLD), so i can be on top of all the changes that have come into place since i qualified. I have also undertook and passed my Early years degree (level 4) in 2012.
My Experience
Since qualifing in 1984 i have worked in nursery schools, worked as a private nanny and helped out in local schools when needed. When my first child was born in 1991 i became a private nanny for a local child for over 10 years. Since becomming a registered childminder with Ofsted and a PACEY member in 2002 i have cared for many children of different levels of abilities and ages.
My Qualifications
My qualifications vary from the regulation ones like first aid, food hygiene to face painting and basic sign language, i believe that knowledge is the way forward so alongside my Ofsted required qualifications i try to undertake a least 8 new courses every year aswell as keeping then up to date when needed. I have experience of special needs especially children who are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and Asthma. I hold a NVQ3 in Childrens Development and a Degree in Early Years through the open University home learning. I have a folder full of my qualifications available on request to perspective parents. I am also part of a childminding consultancy service which keeps me up to date with all the training required within my professional role.

I have a full time Space from April 2023 and happy to be contacted to arrange September 2023 full time childcare if needed also.
