About Me

My name is Joanne, and I am a highly experienced and qualified childcare professional with over 20 years’ experience as an Ofsted Registered Childminder, Nursery Practitioner and Teaching Assistant.

I am based in the beautiful village of Tong, situated between Leeds and Bradford with farms, open countryside and nature right on our doorstep. I provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating home-from-home environment where children can feel safe, secure and confident to learn, explore and develop at their own pace.

I am passionate about providing high-quality childcare with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, fresh air and real-life experiences. We enjoy a variety of outings and activities throughout the week, making the most of our wonderful rural surroundings as well as visiting local parks, farms, libraries and other child-friendly places.

Over my many years in childcare, I have completed a wide range of professional training and development courses. I am Level 4 qualified and hold a Certificate in Early Years, alongside my extensive practical experience.

I am also able to offer government-funded places from the term after your child turns 9 months, subject to eligibility.

My aim is to provide every child with a happy, caring and stimulating environment where they can build confidence, develop independence and enjoy learning through play and everyday experiences.
