Fantastic nanny!

Alice is a wonderful nanny, who is attentive and amazing with children. We employed Alice when my youngest was just 6 months old and my oldest was 3 years old. We did not part ways until the youngest started school which was such a sad day for them both, however we have all stayed in touch which has been fantastic. She created a safe, secure and fun environment instantly, my children adored and still adores Alice, looking forward to daily fun activities and adventures with her. She is tidy, gives structure and ensures the children received the best care. She had a real knack of getting them to nap which I always struggled with, she definitely had that magic touch! You won't be disappointed employing Alice, she is one of a kind and is the best nanny you could ask for!

I am delighted to provide this reference for Alice McKenzie, who has worked as a nanny for my family for the past nine years.

Alice began caring for our eldest child when he was just nine months old and has supported our family ever since. During this time, she has provided full end-to-end care for our two children, who are now aged eight and nine. Alice has been responsible for all aspects of their daily routines during working hours, including organising diaries, planning meals and dinner rotas, arranging playdates, and taking the children to a variety of activities.

Alice is a natural with children and has developed a warm, loving, and trusting relationship with both of them. She is proactive and confident in taking initiative, often organising activities and managing the children’s schedules independently. Her reliability and ability to self-start have made her an invaluable part of our household.

She has also always been flexible and supportive when we have needed extra help, particularly when the children have been unwell. Alice has consistently shown genuine care, patience, and commitment to their wellbeing.

Over the years Alice has become very much part of our family. She was also with us during my pregnancy with my youngest daughter and has been her nanny since she was born. She will be very much missed by all of us.

Alice is leaving us only because she is moving further away, making it impractical for her to continue working with our family. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She would be an exceptional nanny for families with children of all ages, from newborns through to older children. What stands out most is Alice's trustworthness and discretion which is an asset to her.

Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have Alice caring for their children.

great around family nanny

Alice Lane is currently our nanny she joined us in September 2011 and works term time only. 7.15am to 5.30pm.

Her duties include but not limited to :
Waking the children up and providing breakfast
School run
Providing healthy nutritious meals for lunch and dinner (including lunch box)
Keeping work areas clean (kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom)
Washing the childrens’ clothes, hanging, sorting, folding and putting away.
Taking the children to social activities, play dates, afterschool clubs etc.

Alice Lane is an effective nanny who clearly enjoys looking after children. She is happy, outgoing and very reliable. Furthermore, she is punctual and is very accommodating to working late at short notice.

She is very caring toward the children; you can tell from the way she speaks to them, her body language and her frequent contact of hugs and kisses demonstrates her vocation for the job. Alice has a positive bubbly outlook and is very good at asking questions, using her initiative and problem solving on a daily basis.

A diary is kept and documents the day, its also used as a method of communication between the two of us, as we don’t get a lot of time in the mornings for personal updates.

Alice has a very likable character and she tries very hard to please. She takes on board new ideas and executes them to the best of her ability. She actively looks up and researches new options in her own time. She has energy and enthusiasm.

Alice has had one sick day. She has come into work feeling unwell several times and her loyalty to the job has not gone unnoticed. Alice understands her part in the family. She is committed.

It’s time for Alice to move on, she has with out question enriched the lives of our children, and we will miss her in our family. She will no doubt be a very special nanny to the right family- I know my daughter will miss Alice “the nanny who gives the best hugs in the world”.
