About Me

Hi, I am an nvq level 5 qualified, registered childminder in Whitchurch. I am also a parent of two children. After over 20 years of child care in various roles, including managing playgroups, crèches and day cares and nannying, I am now enjoying getting back to the grass roots of enjoying spending time with and developing the children in my care. My home is in the whitchurch area and I can pick up from coryton primary school and surrounding schools. I have a designated playroom and back garden as well as parks, play areas, toddler groups, story and rhyme time sessions at the local library and a nature reserve within the local area.
I take child care vouchers and am enrolled in the free child care scheme.

My Experience

I've have had varying roles in child care including managing full daycare, crèches and nannying until I was asked to run flying start and sure start playgroups. This gave me more experience and training than I have had since my first few years in child care but I had become a bit bogged down with staffing and paperwork and had missed just helping a little person develop and have fun. After the arrival of my children I decided to go back to enjoying caring for and helping children develop and progress in a comfortable, home environment.

My Qualifications

Fully qualified child care practitioner with:-NVQ level 2,3 and 5 in children's care, learning and development.
Wales PPA diploma
Lots of training in many different areas of child care- I can provide certificates- most recently I have obtained:-
Dbs checks
First aid
Food hygiene
Cypop childminding nvq
