About Me
Hi, I’m Nikki,
I have been an Ofsted-registered childminder for over 25 years, providing a warm, safe, and caring home-from-home environment for children in Northchurch, Berkhamsted. I am passionate about helping children learn through play, exploration, and everyday experiences.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, planning activities that support each child's individual development and help them build the skills, confidence, and independence they need for a smooth transition into school. Every child is encouraged to learn at their own pace in a nurturing and stimulating environment where they feel happy, valued, and secure.
We enjoy regular outings to local playgroups, farms, parks, and woodland areas, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore the world around them, develop confidence, and build lasting friendships. We also regularly meet with other local childminders, offering children valuable social experiences while benefiting from a fantastic support network.

My Experience
Over 25 years of experience as an Ofsted-registered childminder, caring for children of all ages and supporting their learning and development in a safe, nurturing home environment.
2 years of nannying experience with a lovely family, caring for their two children and supporting their daily routines, development, and wellbeing.
My greatest experience of all is being a mum to three gorgeous children of my own. Raising my own family has given me invaluable insight, patience, understanding, and a genuine appreciation of the trust parents place in me to care for their children.
Over the years, I have built strong, lasting relationships with many families, with several siblings returning to my setting. I am passionate about creating a caring, stimulating environment where every child feels happy, secure, and encouraged to grow into a confident, independent learner.
My Qualifications
? First Aid trained, renewed every 3 years.

My Availability
- Spaces available Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm. Extended hours on request.
- I charge £7 per hour, which includes Lunch, Dinner and Snacks.
- Funded hours accepted
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Hourly rate, funded hours accepted. Consumables additional.

Nikki has been an amazing childminder for both of my children. She creates a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where they have both thrived. They are always excited to go, and it's clear how much care and attention Nikki puts into helping them learn, grow, and have fun. I have complete peace of mind knowing they are so well looked after. I couldn't recommend Nikki highly enough to any family looking for a caring and reliable childminder.

My LO was with Nicola and my LO had the best time! Every morning when we were walking down Nicola's drive my LO got so very excited smiling and happy knowing she wad going to spend the day here. Then when i did pick up, my baby did not want to come home - wanted to stay with Nicola! Had updates and photos. Had no regrets or worries at all sending my LO here , can't fault in any category!
