About Me
Hi,my name is Alison Walton and i am a registered childminder living in Tiptree.
I have 3 children of my own two girls age 17 and 13 and a boy aged 12.
I live in a four bedroom house with a safe child friendly garden.
I also have a separate playroom with plenty of toys for all age ranges..
I pick up and drop off from Milldene School and also do drop off and pick ups at the Milldene pre school.
I enjoy doing all types of arts and crafts with the children and also plenty of outside activities.
I go to the local library,park and duck pond every week and i also attend several play groups one which i run myself on a Wednesday morning at the urc church hall which i find very rewarding.
Also regularly we have visits to play centers and Colchester zoo. the children get so much out of days out and i enjoy it too;-)
I am also a qualified nursery nurse and have been looking after children for 25+ years and i thoroughly enjoy my job and the pleasure and rewards the children give me,
My husband Mat is also my registered assistant and enjoys it as much as me and at heart he is a bigger kid than some of the children i look after:-)
Having my husband working with me works really well as it means the children have two adults looking after them and also if the children are asleep and i am doing a school run they don't need to be woken up
We provide a very well balanced child care service.

My Experience
I have been looking after children for 25+ years.
I really enjoy looking after children and watching them develop.
Before I had children of my own I worked as a nursery nurse in a private day nursery as a deputy manager which I did for many years and really enjoyed it.
I then went on to have children of my own and from there I became a childminder.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in childcare
DCH 1 childminding
Safe guarding
Early years foundation stage training(EYFS)
First Aid
I also have a qualification in computers
