My Experience

I have worked in childcare for 15years i did work experience at school meaning i did 2 days a week out of school to try and get my dream job of working with children.
The nursery that i did work experience for offered me a full time position to start my qualifications. I stayed there till i finished my Nvq2,3.
After i finished the nursery I decided I wanted a break so i nannyed for 2 girls aged 16 months and 6yrs old i walked the oldest to school and then came back and set up fun activities for the young one, doing cooking for her lunch and general tidying.
I had them a couple of nights in the week for babysitting and some weekends when their mum and dad had to go away for work. The nannying ended due to money problems there side.

While nannying for 3-4 days a week i was looking after 2 other girls every other saturday aged 10months and the older girl of age 4 for 3 years.

After this happened I decided to go back into a nursery I got a job in nursery in parkstone and love it every much I had a brilliant time running the baby unit with 7 girls it was fun and challenging and what I had missed. Short while after we got an opportunity to open a old room for the 1-2 years and my boss asked me to go run it downstairs it was a good opportunity so I took it and i stayed there for 2 years seeing my partner at weekends as he lived away from me
After a short while we decided to move together so we brought a house in the Whiteley area and went to a nursery up there up close to my house I stayed there for 4years and we sadly we split up but I moved back to Bournemouth and parkstone nursery offered me straight back and I went to work there again but something wasn't the same it felt weird so my friend mentioned ship life and it sounded amazing and it sounded a dream but I wasn't confident enough to do it but I looked into a few nights and it sounded amazing so I went for the application and 3 interviews and got the job and with the ships for 2 half years and loving it there I enjoy my life at sea but when I'm not on ships and at home I miss the full on life style of busy children around me.

After coming home from ships I nannied for 4months old baby & absolutely loved it
After that contract ended i nannied for twins aged 13months & after that I nannied for 6month old & 3 years & now since September with my twins family working 2 days & been with a temporary family looking after 18month old & 3 year old.
