About Me
Welcome to My Childminding Service
I am an experienced and caring childminder with 23 years of experience providing high-quality childcare for babies and young children. I am passionate about creating a warm, happy and stimulating environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to learn, develop and have fun.
I live in Church Langley with my partner David and our 24-year-old daughter. Over the years I have cared for many children with some joining me as young babies and staying with me right through until they start secondary school. I feel very privileged to build such long-lasting relationships with the children and their families.
My Qualifications & Experience
I am First Aid trained and have completed:
* Safeguarding Children – Level 3
* Food Hygiene – Level 2
* Makaton
* Special Educational Needs training
* Level 2 in Childcare
* Dance Degree (IDTA)
I also have an experienced assistant who is trained in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Children.
I received a Good Ofsted rating in October 2024, and my Ofsted report is available to view on request.
Our Setting
I work from a purpose-built playroom and have a safe, secure garden where the children can enjoy plenty of outdoor play.
I believe children learn best through a combination of play, exploration and enjoyable experiences. We regularly attend toddler groups, enjoy fun days out and take part in activities within the local community.
We also offer lots of opportunities to support children’s development and school readiness, including:
* A dance class one a week
* School readiness classes for children preparing to start school
* Creative and educational activities
* Outdoor play and trips
* Opportunities to develop confidence, independence and social skills
I provide school drop-offs and pick-ups in Church Langley school
Funding & Availability
I offer childcare for children from 9 months onwards and accept eligible 2-year-old and 3- and 4-year-old funded places.
I also accept payments through the Tax-Free Childcare scheme.
I offer childcare during term time and school holidays, helping to provide continuity of care for families throughout the year.

My Experience
I have 23 years of experience as a childminder, caring for babies and young children and supporting them through their early years and into school.
Before becoming a childminder, I taught children to dance at a local dance school which gave me valuable experience working with children and helping them develop confidence, coordination and new skills. I also worked in London as an insurance broker which gave me strong organisational, communication and people skills.
After having my own children I decided to make a career change and follow my passion for working with children. I became a childminder and have never looked back. Over the past 23 years, I have had the pleasure of caring for many children and building strong, lasting relationships with both the children and their families.
I am passionate about providing children with a happy, safe and nurturing home-from-home environment, where they can learn, develop, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy their time with us.
