About Me
Hello my name is Tanya and I live in St Leonard’s on Sea.
I have worked with children from 0-14 for 26 years. Single children as well as multiples.
I am am a Nanny/ housekeeper, as well as being a medical companion. I am paediatric first aid trained, and registered with the ICO- (Information Commissioner’s Office), a data protection company. I am in the process of re registering with Ofsted as a Nanny. ( I let my previous registration and DBS lapse, as my previous employment no longer required them.)
I am naturally an outdoorsy person, happy to walk with baby or toddler, with pram or pushchair, and will encourage children to play outside, or go for a walk. I enjoy baking, especially seasonal goodies. Arts and crafts are also close to my heart, as are jigsaw puzzles, ( both of which help children with coordination skills and order the mind in preparation for reading and writing.) I am a calm and patient individual, good under pressure with lots of common sense. I enjoy reading to, dancing with, and describing the world around us to children, in a way they understand, extending their vocabulary, and helping them make sense of their surroundings. I am comfortable taking children to mother and baby settings, organised outings, local nursery/school drop offs and collections, etc.
I am also comfortable with all pets, I have owned dogs in the past and have 2 beautiful ginger cats.
My Experience
As well as bringing up my own 2 boys, now in their twenties, I have 26 years experience of being a childcarer. 17 years as a childminder, and 9 years as a nanny/ housekeeper in Tunbridge Wells, and Bexhill.
I have cared for many children from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities, from 2 months to 14 years of age, many of them over many years.
I have experience of working abroad whilst both parents were working.
Housekeeping, making shopping lists, food shopping and running errands, was a large part of my previous employment.
My Qualifications
Full Paediatric First Aid Course
Safeguarding Children Levels 1 & 2
Chaperone for Health and Social Care Level 2
Equality and Diversity ( online training)
I am familiar with EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework)
My Availability
I am looking for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
I only work for one family at a time, allowing the family lots of flexibility with days and times.

- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
