Hi there,my name is Chantal.I am originally from South Africa. I am a mum to my cheeky,bubbly,inquisitive 8 year old son.We live in Sunbury on Thames and my son attends a local school in the area.I consider myself to be a passionate,caring,loyal person with a sense of humour & always has a smile on my face.I am willing to learn new things,good communications skills and always up for a challenge.
I am punctual and have a good record of work attendance.
I am a good cook and i enjoy looking up new recipes to cook for the children in my care.i always aim to cook healthy and nutritious meals.
I am able to create a warm,safe and secure environment for children to develop and learn in.
I will always be there for their mental and physical needs.
I am looking for after school pick up/full time and school holidays.
i am in search of a lovely family where i can become part of the family,so ideally i would like a long - term position.Also a family that will happily allow me to have my son with me after school and school holidays.(happy to discuss further)
My previous families i have worked for was happy having my son around the house and the children got on well together.
Having my son with me at work has never affected my duties as a nanny.We are both huge animal lovers, so happy to have pets in the house.
My Experience
I have been a nanny for the past 15 years ,prior to that , I have worked in a nursery setting for over 6+ years when i lived in South Africa.
My experience range from 7 months old to the age of 12 years old. I have been in sole charge and have both live - in and live out positions in the past.
I am still good friends with all the families i have worked for in the past, one of the families have come to be my sons godparents, so we do keep in regular contact with them.
The last family i worked for was in Sunbury and worked there for 3 years, looking after their son who is 7 years old and their sweet daughter who is 10 years old with special needs(Smith - Lemli - Opitz Syndrome)
my duties were to collect their son from school, their daughter gets dropped off by the school bus.
i assisted their son with his reading and phonics.
I also had them during the school holidays where i planned fun filled days out with me ,example: trips to different museums in the city, adventure playgrounds, arranging playdates, the cinema, ten pin bowling
.Over the summer holidays we would get the paddling pool out into the garden and have lots of water gun fights. We also visited nearby splash parks.
On those wet and horrible days we would do a bit of baking and arts and crafts.
I do not DRIVE but that has never been an issue for me to take the children out or do school pick ups.
Since October 2018 I have been fortunate to be asked to work as Teaching Assistant at a local school in Sunbury.
I work mainly with nursery age, Reception & year ones and really enjoy my time there.
My Qualifications
* DBS checked
* First Aid course - 2008,2015 , 2018
* CACHE level 3 Diploma in Home - based Childcare
* ERLU training programme Level 1 (Cafda) cape Flats Development Association (nursery)
* I am not OFSTED registered but happy to do so for the right family.
