About Me
Hello, I am married to Tony and we have two lovely boys of our own who are now in secondary school. They are the reason I began childminding over six years ago. We live in Hunts Cross and we are within walking distance of the train station and local bus routes.I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and during my last inspection I gained an Outstanding grade. I am a member of the Liverpool City Wide Childminding Network and a member of PACEY and also a member of the Hunts Cross Childminding Network.
I use the back room of the house as the designated play room which as access to the back garden. In 2011 I had it landscaped to suit the needs of the little ones. We grow vegetables, make dens and play with the outdoor toys there. It's a lovely safe area for them to play and explore.
Your child will enjoy visits to local playgroups, sessions led by the local children's centre, local parks & woods. As well as special trips to museums, farms etc.
I am passionate about children getting the best start in life and having fun and offer lots of stimulating activities. My main strength is working in partnership with you the parent for the best interests of your child.
I work within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum as required by Ofsted and have clear and transparent policies in place.
My Experience
I have been a Childminder since June 2007 and before that I worked in a private day nursery as the Room Leader of the 2-3 year olds. I have a Level 3 in Childcare and Education and continue to access training on a regular basis.
I observe your child and plan for them depending on their own needs and interests. You will will receive a Learning Journey and a Daily Diary to keep you up to date on your child's progress.
I make the children a home cooked meal each day and as your child becomes older they can help too!
I provide lots of activities such as sand & water, messy play, cooking, reading corner, role play, construction, small world play and lots of outdoor adventures such as bug hunts in Woolton Woods and plane spotting at Speke Hall.
