Hello, my name is Fiona and I run 'Nona's Nest' Childminding in Guildford.
I am DBS checked , first aid trained and have undertaken a course for childminding and safeguarding. I have also been an Ofsted Registered Nanny for over 15 years, and in childcare employment since leaving school.
A little bit about me. I live with my husband Kieran (DBS Checked) in Bellfields, Guildford. We have been married since 2014. We have two sons born April 2016 and August 2019.
In the week we enjoy visiting play groups, parks, softplays and other activities around the local area and further afield, but also providing a home from home environment. I have membership for Wisley, National Trust and Merlin attractions so we love adventures!
I received a GOOD grading in my latest Ofsted Inspection (March 2022)
My Experience
I am a mum of two young boys, and have previously worked as a Nursery Nurse for 2 years and a Nanny for over 16 years.
My Qualifications
* Ofsted Registered
* CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare
* Paediactric First Aid (12hr)

* 16+ years experience (including new borns, preemies and multiples)
* Safeguarding Certificate
* U.K Drivers License
* 10 GCSE's (Grades A-C)

Monday - Friday 7.30am-6.00pm

- Childminding from £7.50 per hour

We feel so lucky to have found Fiona! Our son was 11 months old when he started with her and from the very beginning Fiona’s warm, positive and welcoming nature, along with her great communication made us feel completely at ease. At two he runs straight up to the door, knocks to go in and doesn’t look back. We love seeing photos through the Baby Days app and hearing about all the lovely outings he goes on from baby groups to amazing days out, including visiting a fort! He has lots of interaction with other children both on outings and within the setting. We love hearing about his day at pick up and the arts and crafts he brings home. Fiona has truly made us feel like our son is part of her family, and we couldn’t be happier knowing he’s in such a caring, supportive, home-from-home environment.

Fiona is simply amazing ! Our little girl started at 9months old last sept and from day one she has loved it ! Fiona has such big heart and truly shows when drop off is a breeze.
From fun topics, crafting days to outings with friends H loves being an owl.
Thank you so much for making this big step so easy for H and for us.

Honestly, I must have visited over 100 different childminders and nurseries and only wanted Fiona. Both my girls have been with her and I booked in my second when I was 4 months pregnant! I completely trust her and would be so lost without her. She is so understanding and organised, really flexible and just all round exactly what you want from a childminder. She is very reliable and keeps us updated on baby days with cute photos. She takes the children to the zoo, Chessington, playgroups, the beach! Both of my girls adore her and we would be lost without her.
